first, the hidden resort fee for, $20 per day. Not even the reservation rep. at that location will tell you about this, he/she will state a price including taxes to be billed. When you check out the $20 + tax per day will be added.
second, construction.....noisy, noisy, and more noisy.
third, the ice machine malfunctioned a few days previous on our floor. uuugh! the moldy smell from the soaked carpet in the hallway was BAD! they put a commercial blower in the hall to dry it, instead of vacuum.

Room Tip: right now.......with the construction, no good room.

I volunteer to work a conference every year specifically to come here. The location is great, the hotel itself is beautiful, open, airy, etc. I've stayed in the rooms pre renovation and they were average but the newly renovated rooms are fabulous! They did a great job! The food here is excellent and very well priced. All of the restaurants are fabulous! Last year we went to the private beach and there was a sea turtle hatchling that the rangers were releasing that night. My kids were thrilled. When I come for my conference my husband and kids make the drive from Tampa bc we like it so much here.

Having stayed at this resort several times, business or pleasure, it never disappoints. The resort is laid out extremely well with beautiful grounds and pools, and love the restaurants and quiet little nooks and sitting areas with hammock, as well as the nature trail. I enjoyed the fitness area and the spa, and dined at the restaurants daily and service was fantastic. Typically I stay on the club level and room is very nice with a nice view and offers a great location for walking each morning! This resort is first class-highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Room Tip: Each room I have stayed in a great!

No need to leave this property, they have everything you need. A beautifully maintained property, Coconut Point is a full service resort and spa with superior customer service. Champagne or a Mimosa upon check-in immediately puts you in the mood for relaxation. We stayed in a renovated king corner room on the 5th floor. We were told there was no view at check-in, but could see the estuary and buildings of Ft. myers beach from 2 of our 3 balconeys (the 3rd in the bathroom!). Visited 2 of the 3 pools and the private beach, which was nice and calm, but as a native Floridian, I could see that it was not actually a Gulf beach but, rather, behind the Ft. Myers beach. Lots of shells. Dinner at the Tarpon Bay restaurant was delightful on the porch. Great seafood! The true standouts of this resort were the attentive and friendly staff, who bent over backward to make you feel welcome. My only reason for giving 4 stars: Sunday morning at 8am, despite the privacy sign on the door, staff called to say housekeeping was at the door to deliver shampoo which they were unable to deliver the previous day. And we hadn't even used the products in the bathroom. Note to management: please don't wake me up!

From the moment we were checked in to a newly-renovated room with panoramic Gulf views, we enjoyed remarkably attentive service from each employee with whom we interacted. New rooms and immaculate grounds offer an attractive playground for the romantically-inclined as well as families. The hotel uses a new RFID room key system which reportedly has some glitches, but the front desk went out of its way to ensure us a hassle-free experience, including accompanying us to the room the first time to verify that keys worked. Spacious rooms have an eco-friendly feel with modern furnishings and tech-savvy connectivity. Our corner king room had 3 balconies, with thoughtful touches like motion-activated floor-level nightlights for the occasional bathroom trip in the middle of the night. Although we did not take advantage of room service, prices appeared reasonable. At the spa, employees communicated with warmth and passion for their jobs. The "can-do" attitude is so pervasive that you know that the hotel takes pride in a creating a culture of stellar service. Location is perfect for a relaxing tropical escape, but the town winds down early. Nightlife after 10 or 11 requires a 20-30 minute drive to a neighboring city. Would recommend without reservation, and hope to enjoy the five-star service for a longer stay here soon.

The location is somewhat secluded but was quite nice. The rooms were very nice but there is a sign in the lobby that they will be renovating them soon. The rooms even included toothpaste. The fitness centre was nice with cardio separated. We had a breakfast package included which included a very nice buffet breakfast. There is a shuttle to the beach and they have a boat to an island. We weren't there long enough to use this service but hope to when we go back. There were enough chairs, etc. and the pool facilities were not crowded. My daughters did get bitten by something there but we don't know what it was. The staff were very helpful and friendly and upgraded our rooms to a better view since it wasn't crowded.
