They have redone the hotel and the lobby is nice and rooms are fiine, but do not eat in restaurant. Service does not exist and the food is mediocre at best. The hotel staff are friendly but could use serious training.

The lobby, halls and exercise room are extremely cold. We went outside to get warm!

Room Tip: high floor is better, not so cold in halls

Thank you for the kind comments regarding our new lobby and our nice rooms. We do appreciate it. My apologies for the lack of service you received in the restaurant. All managers review every comment and I can assure you that this was an isolated incident and it will be rectified. Thanks again and we hope to see you again!

Stayed for 3 nights in November while on business. The Renaissance Boca is a very clean, convenient hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. Their lobby was just redone and is very elegant and modern. The rooms themselves were generous in size, clean and well appointed. Bathrooms were clean and newly renovated (it seemed) with black quartz tile in the shower/tub, floor and vanity counters. Beds were very supportive and comfortable. We asked for a pool view (even #'s) with a king and received one. The room has an LCD TV, clock radio, computer work area along with free wi-fi in rooms!
The pool area is quite nice. Pool is free-form with a cascading waterfall into the pool and a hot tub located behind the waterfall ( a few stairs to get to it). They have a convenient poolside grill and bar which served good food. Towels were located at the poolside bar and were the nicest we've seen at any hotel...nice touch! They were plenty of poolside chairs too.
The hotel even served free cocktails before dinner in the lobby! We also used the business centre to check-in with our airline and print boarding passes (no charge). They have a small work out room with lots of treadmills and other equipment.
The surrounding area has a lot of restaurants within walking distance (less than a block) including many private restaurants serving burgers, ribs, pizza and also had large chains such as Cheesecake Factory, Hooters and Grand Luxe Cafe locted in the Town Center about a block from the hotel. The Town Center has all the upper end stores like Saks, Luois Vuitton, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, etc and regulars such as Macy's and Sears...a great mall.
The hotel is located 1 minute from I-95 and is convenient to everything in the area...beaches approx. 10 min. drive East and a nice Cracker Barrel Restaurant a couple of exits South of the hotel for great breakfasts.
Overall, a great hotel, clean and very friendly staff...can't wait to go back!!!

Room Tip: Ask for even #'s , they face the pool instead of the parking lot.

Stayed with the family at this hotel for 5 nights. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is stylish, clean and quiet. The veranda and pool areas are lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room on the 3rd floor was of good size and the bed was VERY comfortable.

To reiterate, the hotel is very quiet - the only noise came from some small airplanes approaching the local airport. We were able to sleep in without anything waking us up.

The hotel is located close to I-95, the Florida Turnpike, a large shopping mall and across the street from what seems to be a new strip mall with a good variety of restaurants. We enjoyed Nick's pizza and Gyroville at that strip mall and also stopped off at the local Cheesecake Factory about 5 minutes away. The drive to the beach was approximately 15-20 minutes.

Very friendly front desk staff. Helped me with movie listings, directions, recommendations and also help printing my boarding pass when the printer jammed (typical Marriott hotel service, from what I've experienced.) Great location - you can walk a block or two to Starbucks, Cold Stone Creamery, Five Guys and many other restaurants. Just 1.5 miles away is Barnes & Noble and Whole Foods. The workout facility is adequate, not great, and for a four star hotel, there isn't much in the way of common areas if you like getting out of your room and hanging out in the lobby reading the paper of something like I do. Great for business travel, and I would bring my kids here, too. Only complaint is that housekeeping didn't come until mid-afternoon.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side face the pool and grounds, which are nice. I was on the north side facing th...

Quality hotel, excellent food in in-house restaurant, pool bar, hot tub, quiet, and charming. In the midst of a busy Boca, this is an oasis not to be missed. Invited friends here to talk, shop nearby, and dine. Worth every penny of my stay!

Room Tip: Ask for your room not to be located adjacent to the elevator.

The lobby, pool and first floor are very nice. Lovely furnishing and stylish. Good service.

We ended up with a room on the second floor and there was a real problem with humidity. Unfortunately I did not have time to swap to another room, as it was late when we realized there was no fixing this. When we got to the second floor, the AC was on about 65 in the hallway. Being from FL, this was a clue there is something amiss. The air was heavy with moisture. In the room, when we entered a strong musty smell. Air was cranked down but the wall AC unit could not handle taking this amount of dampness out of the carpet, linens and room. In the morning I discovered black mildew on the popcorn ceiling near the smoke detector. So it's been that way a while. I know that if this room warmed up around 78 or above, the mold and mildew would explode! They will have to remove all carpet, and cloth from the room to kill the mildew. I brought my concerns to the front desk. I sure hope it's just my room and not the entire hotel or 2nd floor. Perhaps they had an AC failure or water flood. Traveler beware of this - especially if you have allergies. I have pics of the mildew if anyone needs proof.

Room Tip: Check humidity and mildew in your room. If you detect a musty smell or see black spots on the ceilin...

Thank your for your review. I am so happy you enjoyed our pool and lobby area. We just completed a complete renovation of our lobby and we are very proud of it. As far as the humidity is concerned, we just completed our preventative maintenance program on the 2nd floor and did replace/repair some A/C units. This appears to have fixed the problem. Thank you for letting us know and we hope to see you again soon!
