We stayed here two nights pre cruise - we had no idea of Boca Raton, what had or not but as the price seemed reasonable and it looked an easy drive to Fort Lauderdale we booked it.

The Good
Great location - it was easy to find and being near the turnpike for us it worked well as I could find my way in and out easily (we were not looking for a beach front hotel)
Happy two hours each night and you are really looked after by the lovely two members of staff - constant top ups offered and lots of lovely conversation with them
Great breakfast, the cooked fresh was the best I have had at a Hilton
City Fish Restaurant next door, easy two minute walk to what is one of the best fish dining experiences we have ever had - it was so good we abandoned plans to eat elsewhere are rebooked our second night there

The bad
We are Hilton Gold member but there was no recognition of this
The receptionist was not helpful and actually told us an untruth by telling us we were in an upgraded room when since checking out our suspicions have been confirmed we were not - if you do not have a room to upgrade us to under the gold card, be honest and tell us so, we know we are not guaranteed and upgrade and would rather have the truth!
We could not check in at 1400 when we arrived - OK we were early - but what annoyed was that someone arrived in behind us and was being served by another receptionist was checked straight in. Again I know it happens, but a word of explanation would have helped
If your room is not ready and it is not the sort of day to sit poolside, there is nowhere pleasant to sit and you cannot get a cup of coffee or anything at that time
Still chasing the crediting of our Hilton points to our account; silly thing but just links into the reception issues we had

Would we stay again here - yes if we were in the area and could get a good value rate we would for the location, the happy hour and the lovely restaurant next door

The hotel was very musty and decor was depressing. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this would be acceptable because the bed/beddings/linens are fantastic! The bathroom is tiny and yes they have the old fashioned shower curtain that sticks to you!The gym is small but modern with various types of equipment. Pool was basic "interstate hotel" pool. If you love free drinks, every day has a happy hour, but don't expect your favorite call vodka. Also conveniently located adjacent to a nice popular restaurant, the City Fish Market. Acceptable for a few nights stay if you are on a budget but don't expect the resort atmosphere I crave when in Florida!

We have stayed here several times--we have family at the Boca West community and stay here if not with them. Very convenient to Boca West, we love this place. Staff is friendly, room size is nice. Very comfortable bedding. A separate setting area with t.v. and sofa bed if one of us is snoring too much. .. I love the chefs who make made-to-order breakfasts. Especially Louis! Free USA today paper daily, and a little happy hour in the afternoon if you're around. Not far from West Palm, Fort Lauderdale or even Miami airports --one hour away from each, approximately.
Our room keys did act up a little, there was a "strategy" to get them to open the door sometimes. The heat did not work well for us either, but we ended up not asking it to be fixed because we ended up not needing it.
We always have a car , but I think there is some limited shuttle service to different places, i.e. Town Centre mall.
I would recommend it.

my colorist is in delray beach, i will definatley be staying here every time i have to go. first thing i loved is the openness and safe feeling. no creepy hallways! no hallways at all. the hotel is an oval atrium where all rooms enter from center. wide open. the rooms are designed really well, with the bedroom in the back with real closing door..felt like i wanted to have company in the living room and microwave something for them..the bedroom also has a balcony..the breakfast was very good..it is free downstairs, orr..i actually chose to have it delivered to my room..it costs $10. but if you don't feel like getting yourself out so early, it is a nice option to have. .and they brought up an entire pot of coffee, so it lasted me all day..every single employee of the hotel that i had interactions with was awesome..and not in a pretentious stuffy hotel service professional pasifying type of wat..in a very down to earth sincerely nice people way..had a few laughs with a few..also take care of paulette at the bar if you go to happy hour..drinks are free but don't forget to tip :) also..very very nice class of guests..just business people or elderly couples...not a prty hotel but a very nice place to stay! and if you consider what you spend on breakfast and a few drinks at night in a hotel, actually a very fair price!

Hilton will damage its brand with properties like this. I travel a lot and I'm a Gold Hilton Honors member. This hotel is old and musty. It's simply a condemned Embassy Suites.

This hotel will give me a pause the next time I book a Hilton hotel.

My wife and I just spent a weekend at this hotel and found it to be very good for our needs. Which were someplace to sleep after visiting family all day in the Boca area. The rooms were a great size, the rooms are updated, staff helpful, and room clean. For the same prize of a Courtyard in the surrounding area this is a much better option. Flat screen tv's, sitting areas, pull out couches, and free breakfast are just some of the perks.
One word of caution, It is not a resort hotel so do not go expecting it to be a great place to hang out on vacation, but if you have business or family that you will be with for majority of your day this hotel is perfect.

We picked this hotel for the location, price and the chance that the positive reviews meant something. We just left today and had continuous problems with the bathroom floor and sink area not being cleaned well. Also, don't even think of looking on top of the tv stand/wardrobe in the master bedroom. I don't think it had ever been clean. If I would have had a shopvac, I am sure I would have filled it up with dust and other crap that past guests had put up there. The corners of the room needed vacuuming badly as I don't think the staff moves furniture to vacuum.
