We stopped by this diner today to check it out as it's new to the Boca area, open 24-hrs a day and is owned by the same folks who own the cafe at the pier in Deerfield Beach where we go for breakfast. Very nicely decorated inside (formerly BOVA, an upscale dinner place). The service is efficient and organized. A crowd was there and avg wait about 10-minutes today. Nice waitress who was very accomodating. We each ordered the soup of the day - lentil and it was delicious with nice veggies included. I had a cobb salad which was just OK - not a big fan of iceberg lettuce and was served with balsamic vinegar (I thought I was getting a dressing). Mark had an OK gyro - could use somemore seasoning. I think they will do well if they can continually improve on the food. It is a convenient place to eat all hours of the day and night and a needed spot for breakfast as we don't have many choices in Boca Raton. We'll go back and try something else.

This opened recently and because it's open 24 hours we had to go for breakfast after a long night out. The chicken fried steak with sausage gravy was excellent. Service was a little slow but on Christmas morning with a thirty minute wait to be seated that was to be expected. The decor from the previous restaurant Bova is mostly intact so it's very nice inside. Also has outside seating. We went back for dinner four days later and it was very crowded again. I had liver, onion and bacon with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was perfect. The dessert, a piece of red velvet cake weighs 1 1/2 pounds!!! This is an excellent dining experience top to bottom.

We were excited to try Flashback Diner. Brought friends with us. . Seated quickly, drink order taken quickly, order taken THEN.... we waited for over 45 mins. Spoke to the manager, he apologized and said "LEAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT." The food finally arrived - fair quality. No apology for the delay. The waitress was going off shift and wanted us to pay her. We did and asked about the dessert. She asked the manager and he said we could have ONE dessert. REALLY???? for 4 people. Needless to say, not what we thought should have been done considering the wait and that they were new to the area. Word of bad service and VERY POOR customer service travels fast. Also, the décor did not reflect the name of the diner at all. They just took the original décor of the previous restaurant and tweaked it a bit. Did not work .

Just opened is the Boca Raton branch of the growing Flashback Diner chain. Home is Hallandale, branch Davie, the new Boca local is similar New York style Greek diner. An enthusiastic staff welcomes and serves, trying to get things right as soon as possible. The menu is huge, open 24 hours a day, with a few Greek specialties and lots of American comfort food. Three of us ordered a variety to sample their wares. The saganaki flambe' is a great show and good to share. So is the Horiatiki (authenically Greek salad, without lettuce) and Spanikopita spinach pie. We also shared chili n'cheese fries and mac n'cheese. It all works, for reasonable prices. Nothing is gourmet, but after all, it's a Greek diner.

This was awful!! Can't believe this is not their first rodeo. Staff is not trained and food is not good. Long wait to get in and then you want out as quickly as possible.
Ordered soup, Caesar salad, black and blue steak. My wife ordered a Cobb salad with chicken. My steak arrived- no soup no salad no Cobb
After 6 minutes my "Caesar" arrived - a salad with a paper cup 1/4 filled - waiter said "we were slammed that's the last of the dressing" The Cobb came a few minutes later - I called over the manager and we left without eating or paying for this mess. We were not the only ones with problems here- bad reviews all over the net. Open two weeks - hope they get their act together or they won't last long in Boca Raton
