“Snorkeling is great due to coral reef close to beach”

The beach and water are beautiful. The coral reef is very close to beach, which makes the snorkeling superb for beginners. Lots of exotic and beautiful fish and sealife. Once saw a manatee swimming along the shoreline. Take time to rent some snorkel equipment and snorkel from the beach, not a boat.

This is one of my favorite local beaches because there is snorkeling right off the beach. This is especially easy to get to at low tide. Gumbo Limbo nature center is right across the street.

Red Reef is beautiful park with an attentive lifeguard station for families but you must take your valuables with you to the beach. Thieves breaking into trunks is very common all of a sudden. Video cameras, a park employee in the parking lot and drive-by police officers are only partially effective. Also, the parking machines don't give change so if you have only a $20 bill you'll pay $20 to park for even a minute. The card readers are frequently offline.

I'm not a 2 year old so I think the lifeguards are obnoxious. No problem, sit outside the life guarded area!

I'm a local. We don't go to Red Reef anymore. It's worth the drive to go all the way up to Singer Island or Dubois in Jupiter. Dubois has snorkeling (meaning something under water to see) but get there early. There isn't enough parking so the park fills up fast. There is even a little tidal pool for small children. Singer Island has restaurants near the water and lots of different things to do and loads of parking. That means lots of walking in the South Florida heat of course! The same rules apply: Don't leave valuables in your trunk and don't park in an isolated area.

Private beaches, clean, no crowds, amazing views. Parking is expensive but worth it. Perfect for families or anyone who doesnt want bothered by crazy crowds or noise. I havent ever seen cleaner beaches than this. Had a fantastic day at this beach

We have visited this location a few times. It's a man made reef with lots of fish to see along the reef. Depending on when you go the tide can be choppy. The first time we went it was really calm but there were a lot of jelly fish. The second time we went there were not jelly fish but it was very choppy. We had fun bot times we went. There are life guards on duty from 9-5 which is nice to see. Take your own umbrella because it gets hot!
