Went here with my parents. John always greets me warmly everytime I come. No raisan crackers tonite which was disappointing. Baked shrimp was very good. Parents shared a 3 pound lobster. My mother said it was only fair. NY Strip was very tasty. Baked potato was hot. Spinach was good. Banana cream pie always the best. Always a scene though of the Boca high society.

Went out early at about 6:30 PM.
Maybe 2 other tables had diners.
Many waiters-- all interested in talking amongst themselves rather than serving guests.
Waited about 15 minutes until someone came to table.
Then were ignored for another 15 minutes.
Finally called over the manager and then actually received some service.

Food is very good --lobsters are excellent.

With service so bad-- we left waiter what he deserved which was nothing.

Never went back and never will.

Waiters can keep talking to each other.

We celebrated a 80th Birthday Party here last night. It was the best. Food was perfect, drinks were poured perfectly, and the service was impecable. There was also live music the night were were there in the bar section. I said I have to come back again and try some other things. Veal, Oysters, Berrys and Steaks were all great. Thanks for a great night out!

Food was great. Music was outstanding - I could understand the words sung, fifties genre. Bit noisey but if you get booth along wall the sound is not overbearing. Caleb was our waiter. Great friendly person. He and his team did an exquite job serving us.

We had a reservation and had requested a booth, and were seated on time at our requested booth. The appetizer of shrimp cocktail arrived with four large shrimp and was very good. We ordered the bone-in ribeye and the prime rib end cut slices, along with spinach and creamed corn. The ribeye was good, and cooked as requested. The prime rib end cut slices were described as the outside of the prime rib, which is generally filled with the flavor and seasoning. Unfortunately, it had neither. It was burned on the outside and rare on the inside, and had no flavor other than just burned. We probably should have sent it back, but instead ate just a few bites. The end cut was served with onion straws, which were good. The steamed spinach was not very tasty. The creamed corn was a little spicy, but very good, and enough to serve at least 3 people. The chocolate cake here is amazing and enough to serve four people, but at a cost of $25.00 it's not worth the price. Unfortunately, things weren't much better than average beyond the food. The ambience is absolutely awful. Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing that stands out is how loud it is. There was someone playing the piano and singing, but he could not even be heard over the noise of this place. The waiter couldn't hear anything we said without yelling between us. The tables are very close together in the middle of the restaurant, so request a booth or a table along the window. The service was good, but not enough to make up for the horrible ambience. To top it all off, this is a very expensive restaurant. This is not the restaurant for spending a romantic evening or even just a family dinner. There are restaurants with much better steaks and ambience in Boca, and this is not even worth visiting!

I appreciate your feedback and do apologize for our live entertainment dominating the restaurant. I agree, it does create more of a bustling scene, than romantic. I'm very sorry that your meal did not live up to your expectations, our USDA prime only steaks are broiled with just the right amount of caramelization for extra flavor. In a future visit you may request no char. Thank you for dining with us.
