After 4 years of visits, I have to admit that the quality has so slipped so far that there is little to recommend it. In south Florida, there are any number of better pizza places; There any number of better family restaurants. So, why pay $40 for two plates of tepid, over-cooked pasta swimming in a red meat sauce of a dubious provenance that has nothing to do with the great culinary city of Bologna. Sorry Augy's but the time has come for us to part ways.

Very busy and noisy serving just average Italian food and pizza. Service is very slow and lacking. Tables are very close together.

after 30 years of dining at augy's - thru all the changes in ownership (augy and his brother, their parents, their brood of children, cousins, other family, and staff ) - we still have the same meal: no rolls, a medium pie with extra cheese, and a shrimp parmesan, in whatever order comes first, a glass of wine for hubby and a half-pitcher of birch beer for me. ah, perfection!

I felt like having pizza just moved in to my new apartment near FAU, and i received a coupon in the mail for a 1 large 1 topping 9.95 so i gave it a try i wasnt expecting much, the delivery was fast and when i tryed the first slice it was AMAZING, i had a scillian style pizza and now im hooked, it tasted like the pizza i had in NY when i was little. I went back a second time and this time i tryed some garlic rolls and the fried calamari, Wow the fried calamari was crispy great flavor, and the garlic rolls were to die for. By far the best bang for your buck!

When we first came to South Florida in 1980, Augys was the only Italian restaurant around. It was good then and it is good now. In the interim, it was sold and remained a good restaurant. Something happened and it reverted back toi the original family ownership. It is mostly always crowded and rightfully so. The food is great and would satisfy if it was served in a more expensive restaurant. The only complaint I have is it is very noisy when it is filled to capacity. At this point, I dont expect an acoustical engineer to come in and correct this, so we live with it.
