I visited this little place three nights during a recent business trip to Boca Raton. It's filled with polite and friendly locals to know and appreciate good beer, The bar tenders were outgoing, helpful, and anxious to discuss the beer menu.
The Funky Buddha brews their own beer and had roughly six of their own on tap at any given time. The selection changed between Monday and Friday, and the variety and quality was impressive. I especially enjoyed their Red Ale. The bottle selection and craft brews on tap were impressive for such a small place.
Food definitely takes a backseat to the brew. The selection is limited to a few personal size pizzas, some panini sandwiched and a few salads and apps. They try hard to be creative with their small menu, with moderate success. The food was decent and inexpensive, but it's not going to be what draws anyone here. The next time I'm in Boca I'm coming back for the beer, the friendly service and the eclectic atmosphere.
