We had their $35 special dinner over a year ago.
It was a steal-- choice of the entire menu with same regular size portions.

Food and service were outstanding.

As good as the best in Manhattan.

Friends treated me to this restaurant on my birthday and the management does a fabulous job in making the guest feel special. They insert a special menu with "Happy Birthday" at the top and the individual's name. They even had confetti on the table. They offer lunch choices for $10 and $15, but some of these entrees are very ordinary. I had the tuna sandwich which was bland and wasn't the white albacore I usually enjoy. The service was OK, depending on the server. We had to ask for refills on our teas and waters, as the staff wasn't very attentive.

We had dinner for four on a Monday and the food was really good.
They have a summer menu which in Florida means great specials.
A full 3 course menu for $30 and on Mondays, the wines are 50% off.
What a deal!! Plus we could sit and have a conversation without shouting.

we were a party of four and we came for the prix fixe luncheon. the selection of offerings was meager and mostly unappealing to us. we all decided to have the cheeseburgers with french fries from the business man's group which went for $15 including cocktail or soft drink. i was told that the cocktails were excellent. the selection of free toppings was nice, but very little of them was served with the plate. the burgers were not huge and some of the orders were wrong. ketchup was served in ramekins which was appropriate for the restaurant, but the original service was of 2 half filled ramekins. when asked for more, they brought only 2 more. considering the fact that this was for both burger and fries, this seemed to be nowhere near enough. also the portion of fries was rather meager. i would advise going to a diner instead for a better priced, more satisfying meal

Our meal for six lasted about 90 minutes from start to finish. The service tempo was perfect this time as it was for the others. It was a busy holiday weekend and we were promptly seated at the time of our reservation. Between the waiter, the water guy, the bread girl and the manager, we were well attended. The staff were upbeat, practically jovial, and did a great job. Sometimes I think that when people complain that the service is slow, its really an observation that their own dinner conversation is lacking.

My favorite aspect of Josef's Table is the frequently-changing menu. This is our third trip back and each time the menu has been different. Sometimes its the fish, which this time featured corvina, other times its the reduction served with the steak or the lamb, but the menu seems to change frequently, and that makes it a delight. I keep being drawn back to their soups, although the nut-encrusted goat cheese is to die for. The duck also drew raves. No complaints about the liquor portion...each drink was served to the rim.
