Stayed in Boca Grande for about a month during April and May. Our guests and we dined at The Temptation a number of times. The meals were always fresh and delicious. The restaurant has been in existence for 60 + years and upon entering through the swinging screen doors, you fell like you have stepped back in time. The mounted fish and hand painted murals recall an earlier time. The bartender was a past master at making an excellent martini. The bar showed its age with a sign posted reminding the patrons, "no foul language". The service was excellent with a relaxed pace, however local fill the restaurant by 7PM, so reservations are a must.
We usually had the fish specials and were not disappointed. Deserts are restaurant made, and the coconut cake and the key lime pie were both perfect endings. While there are few dining options available on Boca Grande, the Temptation, or the "Temp", as the locals call it, deserves special notice.
