Boca Grande is at the southern tip of a Gasparilla Island peninsula about 40 mins from Ft Myers. It is a lot like Sanibel and Captiva in appearance so if you have been to one, I see no need to go to the other. The South Beach Bar and Grille is at Boca Grande -- a bit of a drive. The views from the South Beach across the white sand is very nice but not unique to the area. I had Grouper Fingers and French Fries, my wife had BBQ ribs. The ribs were quite good, the Grouper Fingers were OK but would have been better when hot. The help staff was efficient. I would go again if I were near the area but would not make a special trip to do so. There are other recommended restaurants on Gasparilla that may be worth a try. Also, an excellent place to watch the sunset.
