“No Name Pub a lot like Cabbage Key, but with great pizza and deer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2012

No Name Pub is off the beaten path, but there are actually some signs leading you there now. It is always busy, so you may have to wait for a table or a spot at the bar. It is worth the wait. The pizza is very good, the service is friendly and the beers are cold. If you are there around dusk, you can drive SLOWLY down the road and see some Key Deer milling around. Fun place especially if you have read some of Tim Dorsey's books.

“Best Pizza in the Known Universe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2012

What a discovery! Their claim to fame is their pizza, rated by USA Today as the best pizza in Florida. I tend to take "cute" claims like that with a grain of salt. However after consuming their 8" personal pizza rolled thin & crispy with pepperoni, Italian sausage and shrooms, I'm a dead-serious believer. The menu has a LOT more than pizza but I'm glad we were hungry for pizza! The decor of the place is what I call Key Kitsch. Hard to find but worth a hunt.

“Best Fish Dip in the Keys!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2012

My hubby and I ate lunch there today. By the time we were leaving at shortly after noon, the place was PACKED. It was a Saturday (Big Pine Key Flea Market brings in a bigger crowd). I was pleasantly surprised to get a table right away and a nice big helping of their freshly made smoked yellowfin tuna fish dip. Contains nice big chunks of smoked fish, none of that ground up goo. The fish dip is so outstanding that I ordered some to go. It's worth every cent of the $7.99. I've had fish dip in several restaurants and this by far was the very best! For the main course we shared the 1/2 pound grouper sandwich. Also outstanding! Served freshly deep fried, rolled in some kind of crunchy bread crumbs and served on a big bun over a basket full of home fries. They are quite generous with the portions but not so much with the soft drinks - there are no free refills.
Not a big deal, but also not a place for kids who are going to drink multiple cups of pop. It's a smallish, dark kind of bar restaurant. I agree with another reviewer, this isn't really a good place for children. Our bill was around $42. All others should stop in and give the place a look - all that money hanging everywhere is entertaining. The food is great. Service efficient. They want you to be happy and get you in and out.

“Not worth the drive for tourists”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 29, 2012

As a local, I only visit this restaurant for pizza. The rest of the food is pricey and average at most. There are no specials, happy hour or friendly bartenders. The venue is run down, crowded and just not worth all the hype. It certainly is NOT a place for familes, so if you have young kids, skip this place. There are ALWAYS lines to get into this TINY, overrated restaurant. There is absolutely NO view, and ... it's not even on No Name Key!!
