“Be ready to work some muscles”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We went with guide Greg through the mangroves. The group we were with consisted of 4 couples with varying levels of experience - from none to very experienced. We have kayaked for several years on local rivers (not heavy rapids), lakes and the bay. The trip across the gulf to the mangroves was calm. Our guide was knowledgable and patient. Once we got into the mangroves my husband and I stayed at the back so it was somewhat difficult to hear. Also, we understand that being at the front afforded a better chance of seeing wildlife. We did not see or hear everything but enough to make it worthwhile. Be prepared to duck branches and maybe get a little scratched as you grab for branches to pull yourself through - on a good bit of the trip through the mangroves you don't have room to use your paddle.

“Most Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We had a wonderful Kayak tour with our guide Chris! We departed from Old Wooded Bridge fish camp and made our way to No Name Key. Chris is a fabulous story teller and very knowledgable about the area. We throughly enjoyed our trip and both my daughter and I felt it was one of the best excursions we have ever taken. The price is reasonable especially for the time (3 hours), and being able to go to a place off the beaten path. Chris was low key and very interesting. Based on his recommendations we went to the No Name Key Pub and Bahia Honda State Park. The Perfect Day.

“Best Memory of The Keys”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Hands down, the best excursion we took on our recent trip to The Lower Keys. Captain Bill Keogh and canine First Mate Scupper were excellent guides for a wonderful 4 hour trip. Bill took us to spot ocean wildlife we would not have found our own; loggerhead turtle, 3 dolphins, 2 string rays, sponges, coral, multiple fish and countless birds. Great experience at a reasonable price.

“Kayak tour was very fun”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Bill showed us the keys backcountry in a very low-key, enjoyable way.
This is a part of the keys most people never see - very shallow waters, skates, barracuda, strange sponges, loud birds, very interesting

“Great Kayak Guides & Fun for All!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

The team at Big Pine Kayak Adventure had wonderful guides to lead our day trip. The staff was knowledgable and supported a safe and fun day for kayakers of all levels. I think seeing the upside down jellyfish was a a favorite among our group!
