“Spectacular view, well appointed house, great location”

We just returned from a fabulous vacation at this house. It was so relaxing, the views were awesome. We saw so many kinds of birds. It is absolutely a perfect place to enjoy with your family including your pets. We brought our three dogs and we all enjoyed playing in the pool and running around the completely fenced in yard. Our Labrador was able to play Frisbee and swim with us. Our golden enjoyed the birds flying over the property. Our little Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu mix was hilarious going up and down the steps, we had to teach him how to maneuver them since we recently rescued him and he didn't know what steps were. The house had everything you could think of for a weeks stay. Our son came for a few days to enjoy a vacation in the sun. There is a Winn Dixie about four or five blocks away. No Name pub was within walking distance and has good food. We enjoyed a day at the Bahia Honda Beach State Park with the pass that was included at the house. Don't miss that beach, it was beautiful. We snorkeled a bit there. We never made it to Looe Key, but I hear that would have been nice. Next time! brought my acrylic paints and sat on the beautiful deck that overlooks the water and painted. We laid by the swimming pool on the comfortable lounge chairs and enjoyed soaking in the sun and reading our books. It is a very peaceful neighborhood. We drove to Key West one night (about a 40 minutes ride) for a nice evening dinner and a look at the down town bars. Went to Sloppy Joe's Bar, there was a very good band playing that night, the Doerfuls. Very entertaining. We were going to rent a boat for a day, but the winds were making the water pretty rough, so we will have to do it next time. The house itself is a great lay out, very unique, beautifully decorated. It is hard to find a place that let's you bring your furry companions along to enjoy a vacation with you, we really appreciated that the house was so pet friendly. There is a cute metal sculpture of a dog in the screened in room. The key deer on the island were a special treat to see. They hang out in the front yard sometimes and all along the street. They are very tame and friendly. I got great pictures of them. We just wanted to get away and relax, and this was sure a great find for us. We look forward to visiting here again. Wish we could own it, it is a very special place. The master bed was so comfortable, great sleeping comfort. Ensure that the pool heater will be turned on if you are visiting in the colder months. It takes time for the pool to heat up.

Liked best: the location, it was secluded, it had great view of the water, very quiet
Liked least: Pool heater was not turned on when we first arrived, therefore the pool water was too cold to swim for the first four days of our vacation which was disappointing.
