I would not recommend this place for tea, or any other event. We didn't stay at the Inn. We had afternoon tea. For the tradition tea luncheon there was only one option. The rest of the menu was a standard cafe menu. Our sever asked what we would like to have. I stated it would be nice to have a menu first. The order was a tea tower for two. The food: 2 standard sandwiches that were cut in half. Costco style mini quiche, that was horrible. Grapes with seeds and one strawberry. Store bought cookies. The blueberry scone was not bad, they were mini as well. The devonshire/clotted cream tasted like whip cream. My tea pot leaked all over the place. I told our sever and she didn't nothing. I had to ask for a extra napkin to clean up the mess. Just as we got our food, our sever told us that she had to leave and that someone" would be looking after us. She asked us to order whatever else we were going to order, now. Then she brought over our bill and stated that she couldn't leave unless we paid her right then. She proceed to tell us that she was in a hurry cause someone she knew was being sent to the hospital. One of the owners came to the people at the table next to us to ask how their service was, because they were guest at the inn. He didn't ask us nor did he even look at our table. (the only people there were us and their table). The grounds look nothing like the website pictures. It's kind of run down. We couldn't even find the location where they have weddings. We walked all around the place too. Pros: The inside is nicely decorated. We were greeted at the door. In the historical district. Cons: Parking. Food. Service. Grounds. Value.
