Visited for the first time and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Cool vibe, interesting menu with a wide variety of options, and very pleasant service-we were not disappointed.
The menu was so tempting we opted to go with a number of smaller plate options. We thoroughly enjoyed a
number of "table snacks" including the dates with Iberico ham (delicious), calamari, deviled eggs (yum) and the blistered peppers (fantastic-not spicy). Also enjoyed the flounder ceviche as well as both the short rib and mushroom tamales-we loved each dish. We also had 2 of the taco dishes: the pork carnitas and the fried flounder; both were delicious. The crunchy slaw on the flounder taco was a nice complement. The churros with vanilla ice cream and the chocolate pudding were a lovely end to the meal.
The specialty cocktails we tried were nice but expensive for what they were (a margarita in a stemless wine glass for $10 is high). This would be the only thing that underwhelmed us.
We're glad to have Cocina Lolo as a new addition to our dining repertoire and look forward to a return visit-soon!
