Visited for the first time and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Cool vibe, interesting menu with a wide variety of options, and very pleasant service-we were not disappointed.

The menu was so tempting we opted to go with a number of smaller plate options. We thoroughly enjoyed a
number of "table snacks" including the dates with Iberico ham (delicious), calamari, deviled eggs (yum) and the blistered peppers (fantastic-not spicy). Also enjoyed the flounder ceviche as well as both the short rib and mushroom tamales-we loved each dish. We also had 2 of the taco dishes: the pork carnitas and the fried flounder; both were delicious. The crunchy slaw on the flounder taco was a nice complement. The churros with vanilla ice cream and the chocolate pudding were a lovely end to the meal.

The specialty cocktails we tried were nice but expensive for what they were (a margarita in a stemless wine glass for $10 is high). This would be the only thing that underwhelmed us.

We're glad to have Cocina Lolo as a new addition to our dining repertoire and look forward to a return visit-soon!

Not the same old Mexican Food. Recommend the guacamole, grilled shrimp in chili infused oil, and the piquillo peppers stuffed with crab meat. Margaritas nothing special. Server was friendly and knowledgeable.

I had lunch last week at Cocina Lolo with an out of town business associate at this intimate Mexican Cantina in downtown Wilmington. It is a little hard to find being located in the first floor of the Renaissance Centre office building, but absolutely worth the trip. I couldn't wait to try Bryan Sikora's latest restaurant since he is one of the top chefs in the region, with his top rated La Fia around the corner, and it didn't disappoint in any way. The service was quick and attentive, a must for a business lunch. We tried several things on the menu from the ceviche to the tacos. Everything was top notch! I can't wait to go back for happy hour one night and try some of their specialty margaritas!
