Cuisines: Delicatessen
Description: Too many food establishments put out an inoffensive product fit for the masses. Our objective is to wow our guests with creative, distinguishable flavors. Bring your palate. We are not a chain. We are a locally owned and operated group of upscale cafes determined to 'Make it Better'. The love of dogs combined with our passion for delicious food was the catalyst behind the first PureBread back in 2001. Since then, PureBread has grown to five locations and employs over 90 staff members who share our commitment to excellence and our mission of delighting guests. We start each day with fresh-baked bread. Our bakers arrive at midnight to start the process. After the dough has proofed and baked, it is ready for our unique blend of ingredients. Smoked salmon, brie, prosciutto, sundried tomatoes, champagne mustard, lobster bisque and curry vinaigrette are just a few of the ingredients you won't find at the bigger national chains. We offer an unmatched variety of gourmet soups, salads, locally roasted coffee and baked goods. Our menu continually evolves to showcase what we feel are delicious, unique flavor combinations. We are here to provide a memorable dining experience and we will do our best to customize this experience for every guest. Whenever possible, PureBread partners with locally owned suppliers and donates each day's leftover baked goods to the local Food Banks. Thank you for enjoying PureBread. We are here for you.

I liked the vast menu choices for soups and sandwiches. They also had so many good desserts. I really liked all the pure bred dog photos on the wall.

“Good sandwiches, relaxing vibe”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This is a Panera-like place with lots of choices for sandwiches and other lunch-y items. I had a Black Lab (roast beef) panini which was really good, especially the grilled red peppers. Restaurant decor is very simple, with small chairs and tables to which you bring your food.

“Perfect lunch spot”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

This place has gone to the dogs -- in the most delightful way. Four legged friends rule the menu with every sandwich given a canine handle. Friendly, fast and comfortable. Excellent value for $s. A favorite of ours for lunch, especially when the weather is nice and there's an outside table open.

“Love eating with the dogs!”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

As a dog lover, of course I think it's awesome that this deli is all about dogs...from the name of the food items to all the great dog photos on the wall. But not only is the dog theme of the deli great, the food is terrific. I like to get their veggie sandwich, the Cocker Spaniel, but add turkey to it. Delicious. All the ingredients they use are tasty and fresh. And one of my other fave food items there is the pistachio muffin. Omg. So good. The staff is very friendly....always smiling. I don't know what Delaware laws (since I'm a Marylander) are like but my only suggestion would to have outdoor seating so you can bring your actual dog. And maybe they do have outdoor seating in nicer weather and I just don't know.

“Jack Russell Delight”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Great array of fun and delicious sandwiches, both hot and cold to delight a variety of palates. I prefer the Newfoundland and the Jack Russell, hot panini type sandwiches... and I love the varieties of coffee one can choose from. Also, the muffins and other sweets are a fabulous way to end a meal. On the lighter side, there are several delicious soups and salads to choose from. I have never had a less than excellent meal at any of the Purebread locations.
