My family practically lives at this park! It is a nice casino with plenty of gaming, plenty of parking, fairly clean, and good pay-offs on the machines. Horse racing in the summer is an added bonus. If you get tired of the slots, wander outside and watch the horses run.

This place is filthy. The stairwells, carpets, bathrooms, walls, nothing appeared clean. The customers are the meanest, rudest people in the world and the slots do not pay.I live in Delaware and was disgusted to hear that my governor is giving these casinos a bailout. When we want a nice evening with fun slots and free drinks, we head to Harrahs

Horse Racing doesn't have to be your "Thing". Delaware Park is a wonderful country setting that is complete with lots of gambling venues from Slots to Craps, even Golf on one of the most challenging course you can find...This oasis of entertainment is rather inexpensive and loaded with fun. If your visiting the area you don't want to miss the opportunity to visit.

A no cost option, entrance to the track and casinos are free, you just have to be 21 years old.
Children with adults are also free, visit the paddock before the race and stand within an foot or two of these magnificent animals that reflect muscles and beauty you would never expect to see. Lots of activity, watch from the picnic grove with reasonably priced food or visit the Clubhouse to watch the races and have lunch and enjoy all the excitement.

My family celebrate a Birthday Event for me, and I gave each of my grand children $ 20 bucks to bet any way they wanted. The biggest winner or the one that had the most left at the end of the day would earn a $ 50.00 bonus. Both granddaughters, who ride were sure they could pick the winner, but only bet to "Show". They went broke. One Grandson who is more enthralled with his electronic games, pocketed the $ 20.00 bucks and the other grand son who loved the horses names in one trace turned a handsome profit with the daily double ticket.

Again you don't have to be crazy about the racing, you don't have to play the slots or black jack or craps, just walking around, seeing the site and watching the Damion Runion type characters can be a cheap days entertainment.

I live approximately 40 minutes from this place, and I was coming here long before the casino was added. The racing has always been my preference - I'm not a big slot or table game player - and there is no lack of racing action. Along with live racing several days a week, there is constant simulcast racing on a humongous wall of screens - upwards of 30 racetracks on some days and nights. The live racing quality has really gone downhill in recent years, which is disappointing, as this was a premier quality track for several years immediately following the introduction of the casino. Quite frankly, I would love to see them add lighting to the racetrack and run nighttime programs occasionally, as I think this would add to the overall experience and draw more racing fans. The place is clean, well landscaped and maintained, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The casino is nice - 2 levels of slots and table games. Lots of varied shot machines, and the table games tend to be very busy when I visit. Poker is also a big attraction with many tournaments on the calendar. Additionally, football parlay wagering is offered during the season, which is a big draw. I prefer coming here as opposed to a racing simulcast facility located much closer to my home, simply because it's a nicer place, and they credit racing wagers to your Rewards Card. Several casinos will credit only slot/table action for rewards credit. I hope they start emphasizing the live racing action again, and not go the route of being a casino that offers racing only because they are required to do so by law. By the way, the food here is pretty decent as well - Legends Restaurant is very good, with excellent crabcakes, but it is much more pricey than it should be, in my opinion. There are also several other casual places around thee facility to eat more casually. Overall, it's a great place, and much better than the Maryland casinos I've visited.
