Went here last week with my husband and daughter, who both have gluten allergies (actually, celiac disease). It appealed to us that Fins has a menu with gluten-free options noted on it. My daughter ordered the barramundi, broiled and with a gluten-free sauce. It was fine. My husband ordered the grilled snook with gluten-free sauce and sides. It came to him, as ordered, but the fish was uncooked inside. He sent it back and asked for the barramundi with the same sides. This time the fish was cooked properly, but served on top of a pile of mac and cheese (a big no-no for a gluten allergy). He attempted to scrape it off, and ate around it, but still was ill later in the evening. Coincidentally, a woman seated next to us was also ordering gluten-free, and she ordered a clam dish which was on the gluten-free menu, but came to her table with 2 big pieces of bread on top of it. When a restaurant makes claims to be gluten aware and friendly, they really need to get it right or their customers can seriously suffer.

Went here last night for our last night of vacation. 6 adults and 5 kids. They do not take reservations which is true for many of the family friendly restaurants in the area. However, we called ahead and they said that if we got there within 20 minutes, we'd have no problem getting a table. Dogfish Head gave us a 2 hour wait time!! With 5 kids that was not happening. Great bar atmosphere, fun fish/beach related decor, and 2 floors. The menu was huge--plus a great specials menu. Lots of beer and wine on the menu too--interesting selection of microbrews from all over. I had the Lobster and Shrimp Mac and Cheese from the specials--it was delicious. Husband's steak was great--he ate every bit. Kids meals were very good--and they came on a souvenir frisbee! They loved that. Shrimp and Grits, Fried shrimp, Seafood bake, and tuna sashimi were all raved about by my friends at the table. We did not do dessert--chose to get ice cream on the boardwalk. Overall, we were glad we tried it out. We would go back again! Service was great! When we left there was quite a wait outside. One negative was the extremely small bathroom that was very difficult to manipulate with 2 small children.

We loved the oysters: stew, fried, sampler app, and shrimp/lobster Mac n cheese. Did not like mahi mahi. It was cold n overlooked but pineapple mango salsa was very good.
Waitress was very good, above average.
However, all 3 of us got sick n had to stay close to bathroom the rest of the night.

Stopped in for happy hour and had a happy hour! Bartenders were great and the steamed oysters were excellent!

It seemed like the place to be in town! We just got done unpacking and we were starving and more importantly ready for a cocktail! The hotel we were staying at recommended that we go to "Fins Fish House and Raw Bar"! Since we love oysters we decided to give it a shot.. Of course we got there at the busiest time.. The front desk gave us excellent service, came and checked in with us on the regular, he told us we would have to get a window seat for our first time. Our sever "Sam" was the cutest and sweetest thing! Oyster sampler was perfect! Our fish was cooked exactly the way we wanted! We will defiantly be back!
