“Great place to stay at the beach!”
Reviewed January 27, 2011

we stayed here for a weekend in january and had a great time. we were able to bring our dog along and could walk right from the B&B to the beach, restaurants and shopping on the Ave. The hosts were wonderful, the food was super,, and the rooms were great. we had a fabulous time.

This is the best dog friendly b&b we've ever stayed in. Gorgeous room, wonderful communal space where dogs and guests are made very welcome and comfortable. Inez is a great host - lots of information but not intrusive and she also upgraded us for free to a larger room. Breakfast was delicious and there are complimentary cupcakes, tea and coffee. Overall, a really fabulous stay. We loved Rehoboth and loved this place. Will definitely be back.

We travel everywhere with our dog, an energy packed Jack Russell, and she was welcome everywhere. The main reason we stayed here is because it is pet friendly and our dog was treated as a guest. Our room was very charming and comfortable. It feels like a home away from home.

I've been wanting to stay at this B&B for ages, but the in-season prices were a bit too steep. Inez, the owner is selling the house so I'm glad my wife an I finally just spent the weekend there for her birthday. Overall we had a good time but the place did feel a little neglected.

I'll start w/ the positives: Breakfast was amazing and well-prepared. Also, easily adapted for a vegetarian. The dining room is pleasant and Inez did a great job of being attentive and warm but not overwhelming. Actually, in general she was really good at that and that's (unfortunately) a rare talent in B&B owners. I found some of the other guests irritating and two were a little homophobic, but that's not her fault. I also loved the house's resident dog, Xena. She was super friendly and very quiet. The house is spacious, with lots of shared space that would work well for groups. We rarely saw other guests, except at breakfast. There's a hot tub and a small fridge for guests. We stayed in Suite Arlene which has a huge and fabulously pink bathroom. We choose the room b/c of the big clawfoot tub.

Less fabulous: Our room was comfortable, large and clean but I found the decor a bit too busy and fussy for my taste. We peeked into the rest of the rooms and they were all gorgeous and more romantic than Suite Arlene. Arlene is more authentically Victorian perhaps, but I preferred the more dramatic and cohesive color scheme and fewer prints/colors of the other rooms. And while arlene does have the best bathroom, the tub's stopper didn't work well. I wish we would've checked this first thing, by the time we noticed Inez had left and the bathtub was the reason we chose this B&B. Also, our room was fairly dark. In the winter, one of the south facing suites would be better. A few other small things: there was coffee available 24/7 but no unflavored creamer (and the flavored creamer was empty) -- bring some if that's important to you. The tourist info in the room was outdated (for example, the calendar of activities was from fall 2003). The multiple sign/card/envelope in the room about leaving a tip was overkill. The bedside clock's battery was corroded and looked a decade old. And, it was the only hotel we've stayed at in Rehoboth where all of the other guests were straight. That wasn't exactly negative, just surprising.

Overall, we liked the location and Inez (and Xena) more than the room or price. We'll probably stay at Bewitched or Bedazzled next time. But Sea Witch would be a great spot for a honeymoon or anniversary...at least until someone buys it!

Let me start by saying, this place wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. The location was great, and we had a room for a friday and saturday night, for approx $290 including tax, etc. Was a king size bed room, second floor, with an electric fireplace. We arrived from North NJ at 12:30 or so on Friday afternoon, and were allowed to check in right away (good start). They had a parking lot that was very tight, and we were asked to move our car over a foot because we were between 2 spots (not sure how you could tell that). So I did. It was a rainy weekend, but the whole house was a little musty when we got there. We turned the fireplace on to get some of the must out, after the owner showed us how (since the remote was broke)
Owner was not very friendly, or informative. Normally, I don't like to talk too much, but being our first time in the area, a little more enthusiasm or information about the area.

The room itself was OK. Bed was comfy. There was little/no drawer space, and the closet was only half a closet, since a water heater was in the other half. There was nothing outright bad about the room, but when you take alot of the little things into consideration (peeling paint on door, windows that did not open, fireplace remote, strange closet, no sink vanity, just 2x4's holding it up) it wasn't up to the standards of some of the places we've stayed.
We went to the area specifically for some shopping and nightlife. We were out of the room on Sat from 11-12:30, and then again 1-5, and the room was never updated with new towels, etc. Not a big deal for 2 nights, but would have been nice.
Breakfast we didnt go to, went out both days instead.
The best part was the location was a 5-10 min walk to most everything. So while it did provide a nice home base for all our activities, I was expecting more. Maybe this is standard B+B fare for the area, but would look for a different property if we went back to the area.

My wife and I wanted to get away for a long weekend to recharge our batteries. This B&B is located within an easy walking distance to the beach, boardwalk, bike rental, Starbucks and Dogfish Head brewery.

One of the main reasons we stayed at this B&B is because they are dog friendly. Our dog felt right at home and we enjoyed having her around. There are several beaches that are dog friendly and Daisy loved chasing the surf and running in the sand.

The bed was comfortable and our room (Judy Garland) was just the right size. Some friends meet us in Rehoboth for lunch and afterwards we all hung out in the common room watching college football. Just like we would do at home.

My husband and I had a wonderful 11 year anniversary weekend at the Sea Witch Manor. Inez, the inn keeper, was amazingly accomodating from the moment of checkin until checkout. Although the inn appeared to be full, we felt we had the huge home & patio all to ourselves friday night. Breakfast was delicious & enjoyable...a great time to get to know the other guests. We had dinner at the Cultured Pearl upon Inez's recommendation and it was absolutely delicious with the perfect ambience. We both felt the house was clean and of course it was beautiful. And, although we were on a romantic getaway, we very much enjoyed getting to know Inez. We would highly recommend Sea Witch Manor to anyone...you can't beat the location, accomodations & staff!
