Don't be put off by Steve - especially if you're a guy. He doesn't take so well to us girls, but he's bearable. The worst was when he locked my friend and I out on the pool deck late one night where we were quietly talking and dipping our feet in the hot tub (great hot tub) without even saying "goodnight, I'm locking you out." Nope. Not a word. Fortunately one of us had our keys. The place is great though. You can bring your dogs - they have a great better than continental breakfast with good coffee, bagels, danish, etc., etc. What the heck more could you want? The place has never been "dirty." Stained here and there a bit sometimes, what place isn't - but not damp and not dirty. The first floor rooms are stunning. Did you know you can take your dogs down to the state beach?

Great Innkeepers! We can't understand the bad reviews this place got! We loved the Inn. It is located near the main drag, not in the center of town just the way we like it. The place was extremely well appointed. We had one of the most relaxing weekends ever at this inn. Rehoboth is a great town for bike riding. We brought our own bikes along. However, we had flat tires and a broken pump. Steve pumped up our tires for us with the inn's compresser and we were off! We brought our dog along and felt right at home. We had a nice place to sit and eat our take out dinner and breakfast was ample, fresh fruit hit the spot. We will be back for sure.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Canalside Inn. Very relaxing, chill place. The inn is simply decorated, but very trendy and in a great location, walking distance to town. We had a Canalside Queen room, which was spotless. The refrigerator in the room was very handy. Loved the robes and the flat screen TV. The common areas were the best... the lounge downstairs is beautiful. We watched a movie one evening with the surround sound and it was like a theater experience. The breakfasts were more than enough for us, with bagels, yogurt, muffins, cereal, fruit, danish, etc. It was late September, but we enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. We even borrowed bikes and rode around Rehoboth Beach. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely return.

I found the Inn itself to be well appointed. The aesthetics are pleasing and relaxing. I could see a lot of attention to detail in the décor and amenities. I found the Owner to be attentive and concerned about our (group of 8) needs. The continental breakfast was plentiful and the location, albeit across from the canal, is only a 40 second drive to the boardwalk and route 1. The rooms on the lower level are huge but the room we had upstairs was very small. BUT, I find that is to be expected in a B&B. It was nice that the balcony was accessible from our room (front side only).

We were disapointed that the Inn was on the other side of the street from the canal. But we were able to see it from our room on the 2nd floor . The room was very nice and the Canalside is on a quiet street about a 30 min walk to the beach. A nice plus was they have bikes , beach chairs and wifi for guest to use The breakfast was good except I had to wait for the coffee to brew every AM. They need a bigger or another machine. As for Steve ,he's not the happiest camper but was very accomidating when we needed the bikes or the beach chairs or had questions about anything else. So he did not take away from our stay. We will go back.
