My husband and I were in the Rehoboth Beach area for the 2011 Jazz Festival. We chose Espuma for dinner one night, as they had a local jazz ensemble playing there.
We had fantastic service, prompt, efficient but not intrusive. The server allowed us sufficient time to enjoy the music, the ambiance, and our food -- each course.
The food: Superb is the best word to describe our meals. My husband had the paella -- which was spicy (alerted to such by our server) but just spicy enough to make it interesting. I had "tricked out salmon" that was wonderful! It was perfectly prepared and tasted as fresh as if it jumped right out of the ocean! We enjoyed a very unique desert, "Jay's Ice Cream Sandwich" which was nothing like an ice cream sandwich from the grocery store. Out of this world!
Our entire evening was worth every penny spent: great service, superb food, inviting music, and comfortable (but not stuffy) ambiance! It is not a cheap experience, but you more than receive your money's worth! We highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys a real gourmet meal! Jay Caputo, the chef, knows his business and presents it well!
