“fun beach spot!”

great crabcakes! coffee not so good :( We needed a quick brunch/lunch stop with a large group of people. They quickly accomodated us by putting tables together and bringing us our food very timely. Great view, right on the boardwalk.

“Returning Again and Again to Obies--sea breezes, good food, and a view of the beach and the boardwalk”
Reviewed September 23, 2011

Every time we have stayed at Rehoboth--probably half a dozen times over the last ten years or so--we have tried to eat at least one lunch at Obies, because of the sea breeze that swirls around us, the wonderful view of the beach and of the people passing by on the boardwalk, and because of the good service (for some reason the servers seem to be almost all eastern European college age girls), good food well cooked, and reasonable prices. Nothing especially fancy (although there is quite a nice big bar), but dependable.

“Nice view... I wish the help was helpful”
Reviewed August 20, 2010

Nice afternoon and early evening cocktail bar and restaurant on the boardwalk. The staff, mostly foreign, could care less in serving you. I just don't understand how the owners of the place would not notice. Perhaps the tourists that visit the place only once, just would not come back. As a local, I would enjoy coming back if the staff were more accommodating.

“Fond Memories”
Reviewed August 5, 2010

This is one of the only beach bar(ish) places in Rehoboth that we could find (a couple bartenders/servers we encountered through the day said outdoor seating was scarce to confirm this). Outdoor seating and a bar with a view of the beach, that is what we wanted and Obie’s offered just that. Also one of the only places in Delaware that allowed smoking outside at the bar. We thought the bartender was terrific and he fully entertained us throughout the evening. We intended to check out a few other places, but were having so much fun here we stayed! I will visit again upon our return.

“Nice place to eat on the boardwalk”
Reviewed June 28, 2010

When we come to Rehoboth, we usually sit on the beach near Olive Ave so we can go to Obies for lunch. Great place to get a beer and a bite to eat. Our favorites are their steamed shrimp, crab dip, and shrimp salad sandwiches. If it's extremely busy, we will sit at the bar to get the best service.
