“Well worth the wait in line!”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

The smoked tuna with crackers comes with the meal and it is very good. Love the fresh fish and hubby lkes the blackened salmon and Neva Potatoes. I love the Pecan Crusted Halibut with sauteed spinach! This place is definitely worth the weekend wait time in line!

“Decor outshines the food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

We visited BFG on a Tuesday night, after Memorial Day. They were able to seat us right away. The decor in the restaurant is very nice, and its a spacious restaurant. We were seated at a table right behind the hostesses stand where the table awkwardly protrudes into the aisle. They gave us a comment card to fill out, but only supplied us with crayons at the table. Being on vacation, I only carry a small clutch with no writing utensil in it....
Anyways, on to the food. I ordered the flounder and my friend ordered the shrimp pasta. I wanted a baked potato with my fish....they don't carry baked potatoes. I wanted to" upgrade" my second side to a wedge salad.....was told no can do. So I settled for coleslaw. I ordered the wedge salad as an appetizer. It was delicious!!!!
When our food arrived, it was piping hot. It tasted my fish and it lacked seasoning....very bland. My friends shrimp pasta also was very bland, and the shrimp still had the tail on. So, she had to take the tails off in the pasta dish...
The food was just ok.....nothing memorable. I thought it was a little odd that a seafood restaurant on the east coast doesn't have the classics in the forefront like fish n chips, fisherman's platter or softshell crabs.
Overall, it was an ok meal that felt a little overpriced. Another odd thing about this restaurant is the way the do their horseradish....it's in a plastic shuffle cup with a lid. Presumably it's single use? If not, gross....

“Always a winner”

Only good things to say about this restaurant!! We shared the pecan crusted halibut - delicious and my daughter had the Farmer's Vegetable Platter - amazing!!!! Dessert was a monstrous piece of peanut butter pie. Plenty for four people.

“Off season, but great food and service”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Not a "fine dining" restaurant, but good and patient service from Zach. Great beer suggestion, and the lobster was wonderful.
We went on Lobster Monday, good value, would recommend

“Seafood in a Big Fish setting”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

The Big Fish Grill can best be described as being big. The restaurant is truly large and on our most recent stay in Rehoboth Beach, was crowded at all hours of the day. In spite of being crowded, it has so many tables inside, that waits are kept to a minimum. Their seafood chowder was a hearty mix of seafood in a very savory broth. Their sushi style tuna appetizer was very good. While it was not as good as can be had in a really good sushi restaurant, it was much better than one would expect in a large, beach area seafood restaurant. Three main courses were very good. The jumbalaya presented an array of fresh seafood and chorizo in a savory tomato based broth. Their carmelized Scottish salmon was an excellent choice as was their crusted talapia. All entrees were served with a choice of sides.
