We've been going to Rehoboth for 22 years....first visit to Planet X. The food was excellent....our waitress suggested the wine...excellent as well. Would recommend and will go back.

“Two visits, and superb both times”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Dropped in here as a solo diner at mid-week, and brought a group of five back on the weekend, and every dish was a delight. The blue cheese salad is full of goodies like berries, and shouldn't be missed. Had an excellent bowl of soup, and several of us made a meal out of a couple of the "small plates." The smoked salmon quesedilla is fabulous, and they do a flatbread that's loaded with cheese, prosciutto, arugula, and so on. Very substantial, and nothing ordinary about it. There's an eggplant and boursin cheese small plate dish that's excellent.

Among the regular entrees, the artichoke heart enchilada is high on my list, and my companions were very happy with their crab cakes and shrimp curry dishes.

In short, not a bad mouthful either night, and this restaurant has risen to the top of my list for places not to be missed on a visit to Rehoboth.

Service on the weekend was very slow, but that's forgiveable - we hit a Saturday with full sun and record warmth, so the local eateries all got hit with more guests than they'd normally be expecting this far off-season. The service was good (no wrong orders, nothing missing, pleasant waitstaff), but the servers were being kept very, very busy - the place was almost full. When I was there at mid-week, service was excellent.

“Turn Right at the Buddha on the Wall”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

That's how you get directed to the ladies' room at Planet X. An interesting place with an Asian-y, Italian-y, fusion-y thing going on. With organic, veggie, Zen overtones. Lots to look at and many choices on the menu. So many ingredients and flavors, you really have to read every word to imagine what you are going to get. Fun, fresh and delicious. Worth trying, especially if it's nice enough to sit outside on the porch.

“Great dinner experience”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Walked by Planet X after visiting Royal Treat(excellent ice cream) and looked it up on yelp. good reviews. Had an early dinner there the next night and it was outstanding - every dish, Portions were perfect size. Husband had two appetizers for a satisfying dinner. I had fish of the day and it was outstanding. Decor is a bit funky - purple and gold, but the service and bar were very good. Banana cheesecake dessert was big enough for two to share and delicious.
Definitely worth a visit and not too pricey.

“Pleasant Surprise in Rehoboth”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We have passed by Planet X Café in Rehoboth many times over the years but never stopped in for a meal until this year. We dined at Planet X on the evening of September 8, 2013. We were seated outside on the covered porch, which was delightful, especially on a warm, late-summer evening . Our waitperson, Rory, was very quick to welcome us to the table, review the specials, and take our drink order. We began with gazpacho and the bleu cheese salad. The red pepper gazpacho was nothing short of amazing. The salad was organic and the bleu cheese tangy and flavorful. Our entrees were also exceptional and included Jumbo Shrimp Red Thai Curry and Baked Barramundi, a white, meaty fish native to Australia. Both entrees were served with fresh vegetables. We are very sorry that we hadn't tried Planet X before, but we will definitely return on our next visit to Rehoboth. Don't miss it.
