we went to rehoboth to rest, and we did. it was very quiet and clean. the pool is gorgeous and the sauna and steam wonderful, all of which we used every day. great location. the wine was really good and the chocolate chip cookies, when the kids did not eat them all! perhaps there could be a portion for each traveler, rather than take what you want.

we found the food in rehoboth mediocre, but we are from new york, so we are spoiled! maybe we just didn't go to the right places. our only problem was the jacuzzi whose jets are way too weak...it was a really nice stay, and the people who work there are just wonderful.

Room Tip: we liked our room looking over rehoboth avenue. if it was warmer, i would have lived in the rocking chair on the balcony. we also loved the fireplace.

My daughter and I stayed for a few days, this being my third time at Avenue Inn and her first. It was brisk early spring weather and the Avenue Inn was in the midst of a lobby renovation, but we still had a great time. The Avenue Inn is consistently pleasing, from the lovely appointed rooms to the treats in the lobby to the attentiveness of the staff. Breakfast dining was at Sammy's Kitchen across the street, which was convenient and gave ample portions. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool and of course, the shops and restaurants and the beautiful beach. We can't wait to see the new lobby!

Room Tip: If you plan to use the pool and hot tub, ask for a room on the third floor for convenience, but avoid rooms 310-313, as they are directly across from the pool, which can get a little noisy. However, for families with young children using the pool, those rooms would be ideal!

I love the Avenue Inn. I've stayed here many times, and the accommodations are always good. I enjoy the wine with cheese and crackers in the evening, and hot chocolate chip cookies are always a treat. However, this year they are doing construction, and even though it is mentioned on the website, it started before 7:00 both days, and my family was unable to sleep through it. When speaking to the front desk they didn't seem to care. They just said we're doing renovations. I don't know if all the rooms had as much noise as ours, but I was surprised by how disruptive it was, and the "it is what it is" attitude by the hotel staff.

When thinking about spending a few days in Rehoboth we always consider staying at Avenue Inn. Jim and staff- wonderful. Although the Inn is going through some renovations of the lobby area, we felt everything possible was being done to make us feel comfortable. The temporary front desk area is small but cozy-we still had afternoon wine and cheese and our evening cookies. We were given a voucher for breakfast at one of the diners nearby-food OK -not great. I prefer the breakfast that's provided by the Inn. With the new lobby and breakfast area it's probably going to be even better than before. We love staying at the Inn and plan to return once the renovations are completed!!!

Room Tip: Majority of the rooms are comfortable and have a great view!

Except for the miserable weather which we certainly can't blame on Jim and the other hotel staff our stay at the Avenue Inn was very nice. They do their very best to make your experience there both comfortable and homey. the room was exactly as we had been promised....a suite with 2 queen beds and a sleep sofa, already made up in another room. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room and the room was very clean. Even during some renovations they were able to see to it that guests were not really bothered by any inconviences. They offer wine and cheese in the late afternoon, coffee is available, it seems, all the time, and warm chocolate chip cookies at 8:00 in the evening. I can't imagine what more one could want to feel at home.
