This was our second stay at Avenue Inn. When we lucked upon it last year, we knew we'd be back! The Inn is only 2 blocks from the beach, has below ground parking, a lovely lobby, and the rooms are great! We had a room with a balcony both times, on the third floor, which was convenient for people-watching and to get to the indoor pool and hot tub. Our room was large, with a comfy sofa, microwave, and frig, and we borrowed a DVD player at no charge to watch a movie we had brought along. (But Royal Farms, north on Rehoboth Avenue, has a RedBox, too.) We enjoyed the free wine and cheese/crackers and cookies each night, ate the breakfast one morning and used the voucher to eat at the Corner Grille on another morning. This hotel is so nice and so close to the beach that we will be back again!

Room Tip: Rehoboth Avenue side if you want to people-watch, other sides of building for quieter stay. If you s...

As usual the Avenue was a delightful experience. My daughters and I go for a weekend every March but this time It was my husband and myself. The weather was perfect for balcony sitting
and, to me, October is the best time to enjoy Rehoboth. The staff really goes out of their way to make your stay a great experience.

We had once again returned to the Avenue Inn for the event of our Civil Union on the second week of October. Our room was upgraded for us from a standard to one with a fireplace, which was nice in the cool evening weather and because of the extra space in the room and the romantic atmosphere the electric fireplace provided.
The staff at the Avenue Inn is always very friendly, helpful and accommodating! Most of them remember us; we stay there so often and at regular times of the year.
The lobby was decorated for Halloween, which was really very cute.
We saw their posted plans for the remodel planned for the hotel after the new year which will make a larger reception area and a much needed larger breakfast room. From the plans it looks like a very nice improvement. (We just hope that the room rates won't go up too much to help cover the costs. That's a great thing about the Avenue, they are very reasonably priced for what they offer.) We are kinda hoping that maybe the proposed customer lounge area to be built might have a nice cocktail area/bar installed?
Bottom line: It was another great stay, we knew it would be worry free, and wanted it to be since we had other things on our mind this trip, namely dealing with our parents, entertaining our friends, and getting our civil union :-) Thanks to the Avenue Inn and staff!
I am actually staying there this coming week alone as I have a job interview in the area and want a comfortable, friendly place to rest up the night before my morning interview.

Room Tip: If you wanna be in the action, get a room on Rehoboth Ave, for a more quiet experience get one on Wi...

There are many reasons the Avenue Inn is currently rated the #1 hotel in Rehoboth. Our experience this past weekend was even better than previous stays!! I didn't think that was possible. If you have the opportunity, choose a room facing Rehoboth Avenue. It's great for people watching! Amenities, service, personnel are unmatched. We love the Avenue Inn! Thank you to the management for continuing to meet such high standards. We will be back.

You know, this may have been the 10th time staying at the Avenue. My partner and I usually get down at least twice a year, sometimes with friends, sometimes by ourselves. The last visit was in September and we had an excellent time as always. The wine and cheese and morning breakfast are nice touches. The rooms are clean and they are slowly redecorating most of them. This hotel has a variety of room configurations available so make sure you ask about the room type when you call. You can have the Rehoboth Avenue side with the balcony overlooking the street for people watching and a nice view of downtown or you can get a quiet room across from the pool that faces a building but is very quiet. Spacious compared to most in the area. Front desk staff is always friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Even offer dinner suggestions if you need them. Margo was especially helpful. Jim and Mary Lou are also friendly and helpful. We look forward to seeing the renovations of the lobby for next year. If you are looking for a hotel in downtown Rehoboth not far from the beach, shops, restaurants, and bar scene you really should check out this place!

Room Tip: Many room types available to accommodate two, four, or more people. Just ask, they will explain opt...

This is our seventh consecutive year staying at the Avenue Inn and in our opinion it's consistently the nicest establishment we've stayed in. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly and can be counted on to advise guests where to eat and things to do while in Rehoboth. The rooms are spacious and always well attended to as are the grounds and the hotel area in general. The location is perfect and the view from the balconies is panoramic. We especially enjoy the amenities, including an above average continental breakfast, indoor stainless steel pool, hot tub, fitness room, wine and cheese, and hot chocolate chip cookies. It's also far enough off the Boardwalk area that you don't get a lot of noise from the crowds. We've never had a bad experience while vacationing at the Avenue Inn and we always stay at least 7-10 days per visit. This year we even got to meet one of the Inn's owners and she was extremely friendly and down to earth. We will continue to stay at the Avenue Inn as they exemplify the word "hospitality".

Room Tip: We enjoy the balcony rooms facing Rehoboth Avenue. It's a great way to see the entire town shopp...

Arrived at noon on Wednesday and was told that our room was ready. A great and welcome surprise. The room, with a lovely balcony, was enormous with a seperate sofa/lounge area. Large bathroom with tons of towels and toiletries. Very quiet and accessible to all the tourist spots we wanted to visit and just two easy blocks to the beach. Evening nibbles & wine and choc chip cookies and a sumptous breakfast, gratis. Visited the indoor pool (fabulous) and the hot tub (wonderful). All in all, the best hotel experience I've had in a long time, especially given the room I chose was the least expensive available! If only the management could have provided more sunshine on a cloudy day, I would have said perfect, but that was the only thing lacking! I will definitely book again.

Room Tip: Make sure you check out the listing online for available rooms. Very helpful.
