We loved that the dogs were able to share the beach with the humans in April. The humans we encountered all cleaned up immediately after their dogs - very considerate.

Rehoboth beach has everything from beautiful beaches, to interesting boutiques, to high end major outlet shopping with NO sales tax! You can walk to almost everything in town. Nice convention center and visitors center. Abundant trails for safe walking & biking through nature preserves around pristine lakes & bays. Super clean everywhere you go. There's also a multiplex cinema for rainy days. Large grocery stores, Walmart, K-Mart, Home Depot within a 5 minute drive. Like most shore towns, traffic in the summer is heavy, but minimal compared to the standstill traffic on the Garden State Parkway for the New Jersey shore or the Long Island Expressway for the New York beaches.

Warm and relaxed. Minimal shore sleaze, unlike the Jersey shore.
Wide beach with ample restrooms. The boardwalk makes for an excellent stroll in the morning or later in the day. There are plenty of benches where you can enjoy the sights and sounds. The benches are unique - you can easily flip the top board and sit facing the beach or the boardwalk.

Plenty of food and drink around, as well as special events.
