We attempted to spend the afternoon at the Midway Speedway after spending the morning at the beach. Our 9 year old and I road the go carts and after the way the staff treated my daughter, we decided to look elsewhere. This rating can include the entire park and I hope others have a better experience. The teenager that was "in charge" of the go carts had a terrible attitude that started when we opened the gate before he wanted us to and after an older employee told us to go in.
I overlooked his mouth and figured that he was following some required safety rules. When it was time to buckle up the belts, he had no patience with my daughter and basically snatched the belt from her hand and hooked it (between her legs) for her.
At the end of our first race he became furious when neither of us could understand exactly where he wanted the cars. The were basically scattered all around the edge of the track and we pulled into to where we pointed; however, he explained to me that he told me to pull more forward. I guess I was supposed to hear him mutter over the sound of the engine. We thanked him for the ride and left.
The owner should probably train their employees that the customers being there are why they receive a paycheck. If this were one of my employees, he would received his last pay check that day.
