Description: WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR THE fALL-WINTER 2016/17 133 steps to the Atlantic...Blurring the boundary between a night in with friends, and an evening on the town, coastal gastropub cuisine, eclectic wine, handcrafted cocktails, cool beers, laid back livin'. We are locally owned and operated establishment. We start with what we call our kitchens mantra from Julia Child; "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients." Our interpretation is too not get in the way of the food, let the ingredients speak for themselves. We mix this altogether with a nice selection of handcrafted cocktails (a must these days), craft brews, and wines, throw it all together in a relaxed beach cottage atmosphere, and try our best to provide you with the friendliest service we know how. There you have it: Shorebreak Lodge.

“Wonderful birthday dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

We had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant the first weekend in August for my birthday and it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we have ever had. First, the host was considerate enough to ask us if we would prefer to be seated in the back as he anticipated the bar to get more crowded and loud as the evening went on. The style of the restaurant was very clean, comfortable and simple which was nice. We opted for the cucumber, lemon and basil infused water which was such a nice alternative to the usual plain water. We ordered the clams and burrata for appetizers and they were DELICIOUS. For our entrees, we had the wagyu steak and the shrimp and grits. Both were well seasoned and we did not have so much as a bite left on our plates. All of this and some prosecco for $100 which we thought was very reasonable. I think the server can sometimes make or break a meal and Eric definitely added to our dining experience. We chatted with him throughout the meal and he brought us shots from the bar for my birthday. He was always sure to fill our water glasses and gave us some recommendations on other places we should try in the area. Nice decor, great food and excellent service made for a wonderful birthday dinner. This place will definitely be one of the reasons we come back to Rehoboth for another visit.

“Unique menu, delicious food!”

Went here twice while on vacation. I really loved the risotto and brussels. Tuna was great too! They used local ingredients and everything was delicious.

“Good gluten free options. Cheap kids meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2013 via mobile

Everything was very tasty. I had shrimp and grits and they were delicious. The kids meals were large and tasted great. The Brussels were so good too. Overall everything we had was good. Just a bit pricey.

“A quiet restaurant with great service and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

We spent our first night in Rehoboth beach at this restaurant. The restaurant is extremely clean and very comfortable. We could dine and have normal conversation without shouting to be heard. The food was delicious. I had the mussels. Excellent. The roasted brussel sprouts were a bit to salty for me, but the whole experience was great. They serve a delicious chilled water flavored with cucumber, mint and lime. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a comfortable evening at the beach away from the loud restaurants. The food is a treat because it has a twist to many items. Worth the try!
