Located north of Rehoboth's main boardwalk, this is a carry in/ carry out park. A new feature, rental chairs and umbrellas for the beach.

Bike in for free or $8 fore out of state, 2 axle vehicles. The only thing that would make this perfect: actual bathrooms instead of port'o'potties.

The wetlands were pretty, but I went the day after a rain - the mosquitoes were very hungry. It's best to rent a bike. There is a walkway to the beach and plenty of parking. You must pay the daily parking fee.

The path is gravel and somewhat challenging in spots, but it is so peaceful and beautiful. You will be rewarded with sightings of osprey and other waterfowl. You may see helicopters fly over, or hear the surf in the distance. Take a water bottle, binoculars, bird identification book, jacket and wear sun protection.

After coming here for 40+ years I finally rode here on my bike and was surprised at the beauty, the birds, the view. Would love to come back for sunrise over the dune...

We took an early morning stroll around Gordons Pond, which is part of the State Park.
Other than a few ducks, we really didn't see much wildlife, but it was still a pleasant walk. I saw warnings about poison ivy and can imagine that in the summer the bugs would love these wetlands. There is a large parking lot so they must get lots of beach goers to this unguarded beach.
