“Love this trail! Great for walking and biking!”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

Anytime of year this trail from Rehoboth to Lewes is awesome. If you love being outdoors and in nature then this is for you. I ride my bicycle regularly here (weather permitting). I've seen all sorts of wonderful things too. Birds, Turtles, Deer, Snakes, Rabbits, etc. Of course in the hot summer months you might want to take along some bug spray because you will encounter some pesty insects like gnats and mosquitos, but don't let that deter you. There are beautiful water views as well. Enjoy!
You can access the trail in several locations along the way. You can check out the Delaware State Parks website for additional information that I cannot post here due to Trip Advisor's guidelines.

“Our new favorite attraction the the area”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We love the trail!!! What a smart move for the towns. An old train track converted to a trail that takes you from Lewes to Rehoboth. It's very scenic and easy to ride on bikes or a good hike if you're going by foot.

“Tricksy to find but worth it...”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We were looking for someplace other than the beach to walk (windy and our feet/legs were much tired/sore from previous beach walking). This was a bit of a drive from OC but a nice drive.
We had some description of where the trail heads were and thankfully a map (with not many road names - thankfully I could match the map up to our GPS and I found the parking (Rehoboth end) for the trail.
Unfortunately we were only about to do about 1/3 of the 5 mile (one way) trail. It was very nice though, level, partially sunny and partially shaded (wouldn't want to do it on a HOT sunny day). Very easy walk, nice views along the way. We walked to the first scenic overlook. Beautiful marsh, beautiful. It would be a great bike ride, what fun it would be to do the whole 10 miles by bike :). We had hoped to drive to the Lewes end and walk to that scenic overlook but we didn't have time that day and then had to leave due to the incoming Nor'easter... :(
Dislikes: Do watch for dog poo along the side of the path :( There is a leash law, but I'd be more interested in the people cleaning up after there dogs.

Beautiful ride, little to no hills, perfect day trip activity! We loved seeing more of the area and getting in a little exercise too.

I did this trail with my 60 year old mom an and it was great. It is mostly shaded so it can be done on a hot day. It is flat so all ages re able to complete it. It is scenic so that you can stop and look at the animals as you bike. It is also not overcrowded so it can be romantic and private. I recommend you rent a bike and so this
