Food was excellent and so was the service...that's saying something for a party of 16! We had apps, dinner, deserts, and after dinner drinks. Every bit of it was fabulous.

Revisited Salt Air last week and was so pleased to discover that the quality of food and service remains extremely high. The nice touches begin when you order drinks: complimentary crostini with soft herbed butter, absolutely YUMMY. For vegetarians, you will not believe the size, variety and creativity of the vegetable plate. It includes both warm and cold selections presented on a huge platter. The most important asset that this place has going for it is the staff: really bright, friendly young folks who have been empowered to handle any customer service situation with finesse. That will keep me coming back.

Don't worry about the early evening reservations policy. We tried to get one but found it booked up, so we showed up around 6:30 and were told there would be an hour wait. They will text you when your table is ready so you can walk around all you want. We got our text after just 15 minutes and were told we had 5 minutes to get back to the restaurant. We phoned (since you can't reply to the text except to cancel) and told them we were about 7 minutes away. They told us not to worry that they would hold the table for us. We were greeted at the door with smiles and told to relax. Must have had something to do with the sweat pouring off our faces! Now about the rest of the experience. Tina was an excellent server, and was very helpful in explaining our choices. The atmosphere is elegant casual, and the food is terrific. Once seated, we were not rushed, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal, great dessert, and 2 bottles of wine. Don't worry about the wait, this is one restaurant not to miss in a Rehoboth!

Small but delicious menu.....Lovely ambiance. I loved the vegetarian dinner which was a sampler of fresh and amazing dishes. My husband and friends thoroughly enjoyed the seafood appetizers and main courses. Definitely a much try. But go early to put your name on the list, the wait can be long.

The food and service at this restaurant are top notch. The menu is interesting and there seems to be a focus on fresh, local ingredients. The salads are noteworthy. The watermelon salad is refreshing and delightful and the canteloupe with burrata cheese is far more interesting than one might think. Both are served in very large portions, though, so you may want to share. The entrees are consistent and wonderful. The Five Spice Tuna with Scrapple Fried Rice is a favorite and would be a nice way for someone not familiar with scrapple to give it a try. I almost forgot about the Crab Deviled Eggs and Scrapple Sliders- fantastic! Desserts are also a hit.

I do have 2 complaints about Salt Air. There are only two bathroom stalls for a very large restaurant which makes for an awkward, cramped line many times. Also, the front staff is very bad at estimating wait times. Other restaurants seem to have this figured out so I'm puzzled. Was once told the wait would be 1 1/2 hours and we were called in 20 minutes. Another time, our 45 minute wait was 75 minutes. Despite these flaws, I still highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service.

Most recently, our server "Alex" was attentive and engaging which added to the experience.
