Description: Lupo Italian Kitchen on Rehoboth Avenue is where you can find fresh takes on Italian cuisine intermingled amongst coastal and regional offerings. Our produce is sourced locally and is mostly hand selected from the farms and markets dotted throughout the southern part of the state. Our menu consists of flavorful tasting items that welcome guests to try numerous exciting and exotic flavor combinations. Our fresh, line caught seafood is at the core of our companies philosophy and sits in abundance on our menu. Hand selected and crafted meat options resemble simple and delicious rustic fare. All of our delectable desserts are made in house with great care and attention. Our quaint sit down corner bar is similar in practice as we create tasty seasonal concoctions daily with every new batch of fruits and herbs that come in. A fully stocked wine shelf holds unique and acclaimed wine selections that eagerly await pairings.

The best Italian restaurant in Rehoboth Beach. Me and friends go at least twice a month. they take no reservations but we always get seated quickly. The sea bass and the steak is a consistent knock out.

Food & wine/cocktails all very good. Nice decor. Suggest purchase of better quality silverware & water glasses. This level of restaurant & price point warrants glass water goblets/glasses (not scruffy plastic) and nice silverware (not scruffy, thin knives, forks & spoons that look like second-hand, low end cafeteria style cutlery. In fact, the silverware given to dine-in customers at the Starbucks across the street was of much better quality.

On my most recent trip to Lupo, I stopped in on Pasta Night. It had been months, maybe even a year, since I had dined with them. To my surprise, there was a lobster dish under the Pasta section. I've included a photo of the plate...it was delicious! Many thanks to Phil for his skill and generosity. Looking forward to a return trip!

Another great meal at Lupo di Mare. The Food was fantastic and the server was efficient and knowledgeable. The ricotta cheesecake was delicious. The only drawback, the restaurant is just too loud. A suggestion would be to add some sound dampening panels to bring the noise level down a bit. Almost an auditory relief upon exiting which seemed unfortunate because everything else about the place is great.

This was the first Sodel Concepts restaurant we visited; and thus was born the "Tour de Sodel" - our personal quest to eat at each and every Sodel Concepts restaurant, trying at least one each summer vacation. We completed the tour earlier in the week with lunch at Matt's Fish Camp, and then decided to take a trip down memory lane to see if the restaurant that started us on this trek is still as good as we remembered. It is!

First let me tell you the total tab for two people, excluding tip - $64.50. Guess we hardly ate or drank anything, right? You are soooo wrong. Here's what we got for the money -one Raspberry Mojito; one Bicicleta, (a refreshing house drink with pinot grigio and a bitter orange liqueur); two glasses of Chianti; one salad with figs, parma ham, glazed walnuts, and gorgonzola over greens in a balsamic dressing (shared - and there was plenty of salad on the plate); two orders of PEI mussels; focaccio bread; linguine with wild mushrooms in a brandy cream sauce; and veal meatballs in a tomato sauce over papardelle. Needless to say, there was no room for dessert.

How did we manage to get so much food for so little money? Turns out Lupe di Mare has a 1/2 off special on pasta dishes every Wednesday. What a delightful surprise - we saved $20. But even at $85, you have to admit that two alcoholic beverages each, three appetizers, and two entrees is good value for the money, As with all the Sodel Concepts restaurants we've visited, you get both quality and quantity.

Now for the critique - the fig salad could have used a touch less dressing. I love a good balsamic dressing, but both my husband and I like lightly dressed salads. Next time we'll tell our waiter this preference. But the contrasting flavors - sweet figs and walnuts with savory and salty parma ham and cheese, offset by tangy balsamic vinegar - delicious.

Other than that, we enjoyed the food, our waiter was good, and we loved that there are no lines, no waiting now that the crowded beach season is over.
