“if it's tuesday, get ready to go to the farmer's market”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

bring your own recyclable bags or purchase them at the farmer's market and get ready to shop along the tree shaded promenade of white tented booths of this charming farmer's market in this gem of a beach town. whether it is seasonal fruits and veggies, farm fresh eggs, local baked goods, plants, flowers, mushrooms, lavandar products, meats or local seafood you are in search for or a cooking demo from local chefs, this farmer's market is a must for locals as well as tourists. imagine that first bite of a fifer's orchard peach or cooling off with organic ice cream while sampling cheeses made from local cows. the bagpipes kick off the start at noon so come early to buy the best. it gets pretty crowded, but the parking restrictions on local streets close to the market are lifted from noon until 4pm. ask one of the local officers directing traffic so you do not get a parking ticket. i plan to go today, see you there!

“Better than Ever”
Reviewed September 16, 2012

I would have rated this 3 stars, just okay had I reviewed the market last year, in fact I didn't even bother going during the tourist season this summer. Mistake! So many more vendors now, friendly people and things to taste and feel. Dog friendly too.Cheery and clean, There are the expected organic fruit and veggies, fresh lamb meats and skins, gelato, seafood, nuts, salsa, & guacamole. Touch of Italy and other local favorite restaurants have booths too. It starts later, which I prefer, so bring your dog and your insulated bag and visit! There is a nice park too so if you have kids with you they will be happy. Parking is tight, be prepared to walk a couple of blocks away.

“Fresh produce!”

Great variety of fruits and vegetables from the area farmers. Plants, bread and such available as well. Well located just outside of the main downtown.

“Best Year Yet!”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

Stopped by the farmer's market today and was delighted with the vendors and the selection. Pappardelle's Pasta is new this year and out of this world. I prepared their rosemay and garlic pasta tonight with pork, wine and tomatoes. Truly the best pasta I have ever tasted. So glad to have a local source! Can't wait to try the lime and cilantro flavor.

Old World Bread is still baking up their delicious sourdough loaves. Discovered that Greenbranch Farm has a booth. We have been driving to their farm in Salisbury this past year -- their meats are exceptional and we love their greens -- unusual varieties of kale, chard and lettuces that are so delicious they hardly need dressing.

Bought some local asparagus and strawberries from a farmer out of Harrington. The "Early Glow" strawberries are delicious--reasonably priced, too. There is nothing like a fresh-picked strawberry for flavor.

The lamb man is there again his year as well as Gelato Gal. Hurray! Jimmy Lynn's seafood has a booth. I'm a sucker for their deviled eggs, but their fish is always fresh too.

Tried some purple passion tea today made with beet juice. Pretty good!

Thank you farmers and organizers for a great experience! Can't wait to go back. The mid-week time works for me. Highly recommend.

“Fresh, local food and community”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

The Rehoboth Beach Farmer's Market (http://www.rbfarmersmarket.com/) is open on Tuesdays from noon-4pm starting in May through early fall. While not very large, there is a nice variety of vendors offering everything from fresh organic produce, fresh ice cream, dog treats, prepared food, seafood, fresh fruit, jams and jellies, local eggs, exotic mushrooms, herbs, pants and more! I especially loved the fresh, beautiful organic produce from Community Organics, Deep Grass Nursery and Greenbranch Farm. It is great to have a local, community source of chemical-free vegetables from friendly knowledgeable farmers!
