I usually try to stay at a guest house whenever I travel for a destination vacation/get away. I also try to obtain referrals for a place to stay but I didn't have any this trip. Having wanted to go to Rehoboth Beach for several years the time had come and I needed to book a place quick. I did as much research as anyone else can do online and it came down to several places. I basically tossed a coin and thank god "heads" happened to be The Rehoboth Guest House. From the minute I opened the front door and walked in - I was Home, and treated like family by the guests but most especially by the Hosts, Steve and Tom. These two gentlemen have raised the bar on hospitality for all other Inns to be envious of. The house is charming and quaint and kept very clean. The service is impeccable. The food is incredible and Steve goes out of his way when possible to accommodate guests with special dietary needs. This is not your ordinary "Continental Breakfast". Every morning guests are presented with an array of delicious treats. From cakes and pastries prepared by Tom (a professional baker), a large selection of fresh fruits, cereals, bagels & breads, freshly brewed coffee and juices to Steve's delicious quiche and hot bacon infused egg "omelettas" - you will certainly find a delicious way to kick off your day. Don't forget to try one of Tom's unbelievable cupcakes - they are crazy good! I was fortunate enough to be staying on the weekend and was treated to a fun, entertaining and delicious Wine and Cheese cocktail party held from 5-7 every Saturday. This wonderful experience was a great way to start your Saturday night by gathering around the back porch for some comradery with a plentiful selection of hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks. The guesthouse itself is in a perfect central location to all shopping, restaurants, bars and the boardwalk. Even though the house was fully booked the entire three nights I stayed, you would almost never know as it was very quiet. I can understand why this house has become very popular and in such demand. I will definitely be coming back to this guesthouse in the future, and cannot wait to return!
