“Great Day at Jungle Jim's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2011

We spent the midday at mini-golf, went to the waterpark until closing (6pm) and then did go-karts. Not cheap, but not expensive compared to other beach-town amusements, and well-worth it. Park was clean and nice, staff friendly, plenty of tubes available for lazy river and wave pool. Only short lines for the 'lead' waterslide - Anaconda. All in all a great day.

“A good experience for a small beach resort”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2011

I'm guessing August is pretty much prime time here. The lines were pretty long and the water portion of the park was very crowded. There is a lot of chlorine in the water (a mixed blessing with all the small children). The food was pretty much amusement park fare so we ended up going around the corner to eat.

The price tag seemed pretty high for the facilities, but it's the only place in town like this so if you want a water park, you pay the price. I understand the next water park is in Ocean City - probably a hour or so drive from here..

“We had a Blast!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2011

I am 40 years old. My best friend is 54. We are two responsible adults that are young at heart. This was a GREAT waterpark. We laughed our backsides off for hours on end. We were even asked by the owners/management if we were having a great time. It's clean and there is so much to do. My favorite, believe it or not, is that small pool to the left of the wave pool/lazy river. it has a fake coconut tree. If you lay under it you get splashed with a coconut. I thought that was genious. For a small to small-medium water park it is a great time. You can even put the lounge chairs partly at the lazy river entrance. There are good amount of slides. The food is decent. Don't expect much of a discount though. Overall, everything was great. If you are a smoker, they do let you out of the gate towards the locker purchase key area behind the wooden gate. Quick in. quick out. Fabulous time. I have no complaints. If we loved it your kids will love it guaranteed. I am taking my husband here this weekend August 25th or the 26th. Great times to be had. I was very impressed.

“Fun but limited waterpark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2011

We had a fun day at Jungle Jim's -- the big slides and lazy river are really nice. However, the park is expensive for what you get. There is no wave rider, the wave pool is small, and the there are no slides that will entertain older kids. Also, the fact that the staff don't remove empty inter-tubes from the lazy river creates real bottlenecks. Some criticized the fact that the lazy river is connected to the wave pool is a problem but it wasn't on our day. We liked it. Jungle Jim's also benefits from the the fact that there's no competition in the area. The Midway Race Way water park is weak. So, if you want a water park, go to Jungle Jim's. Tip: we went midweek during an overcast day and it was fun and not crowded. Tip 2: Midway does have better miniature golf than Jungle Jim's,

“Always a good day at Jungle Jim's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2011

Our family has visited Jungle Jim's Waterpark every year for the past 8 years. Our boys are now 18 and 15, and we still have so much fun when we go. This visit we had 3 other teens with us too.

Jungle Jim's is a great little waterpark, not too overwhelming, and safe enough for "tweens" to run around on their own. The park isn't huge, like WaterCountry USA in Virginia, but there is still plenty to do. There are several water slides and they are a lot of fun, and just hanging in the lazy river is fun for everyone. I am always surprised how our active teens continue to love the lazy river too.

One thing about the park is that you pay for each place....like the waterpark is separate from the bumper boats (although you can always find a coupon in a free local coupon guide for a free bumper boat ride with waterpark purchase), the mini-golf, go-carts, etc. You can go enjoy the other activities without having to purchase tickets for the waterpark. But then again, if you want to enjoy all the activities, be prepared to pay extra for them.

You cannot take coolers inside, but we typically load up with water and sometimes food and keep it in our car. The parking lot is very accessible if you take a trip out for a quick lunch or to drink a bottle of water. There are also fountains inside. We have also left the park to eat at a local restaurant in Rehoboth and then returned to finish our day at Jungle Jim's. However, we decided this year to just stay and eat there. The food is VERY reasonably priced at the snack bar and it is really good too. They have great burgers and fries, but watch out for seagulls who want your food too :) Our kids said the chicken fingers were excellent. There's also ice cream, pretzels and other things to buy....all, in my opinion, inexpensive for an amusement park.

If you want shade, try to get there upon opening to grab a seating area under the large umbrellas. There isn't much shade outside of those umbrellas. You can rent cabanas for groups but we have never done that. If you rent a cabana with a group, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks inside.

There are several sections just for younger/smaller kids too. There are also plenty of chairs if you want to sit at the entrance to the small wave pool/beach area at the lazy river. That's a great place to sit and relax while staying wet in the surf of the wave pool.

You can also rent lockers if necessary. We have never, ever had a problem with theft or anything else at this park, although you never know when that could happen. It's a great family place and the lifeguards do a wonderful job at keeping order without being ridiculous.

We always look forward to our fun day at Jungle Jim's each year, and we are never disappointed.
