“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

We spent a night at Brighton Suites while visiting Rehoboth Beach this summer. I booked online so check in was quick and problem free. The basement parking spots were a little tight for our family mini-van but it was manageable and indoor parking is always a plus. The room is very clean when we arrived and the bathroom is complete with all the necessary items. The double beds are adequate but the sofabed is so-so. They have a nice indoor pool on the top floor and a good size roof deck where you can hang out. If you will go to the beach, they have umbrellas and beach towels available. The downside to this hotel is that even though it is just a block away from the each, it doesn't have an ocean view nor a view of Rehoboth Ave where there are lots of activities (great for people watching).

I would recommend this hotel but will probably try other hotels in the area the next time we stay at Rehoboth Beach.

I just spent over $300 to spend the night at the Brighton Suites. A better name would be Mildewed run down Suites. My list of complaints could go on and on. I didn't dare take off my shoes because the carpet was wet and mildewed. There were so many holes punched in the walls I lost count. That is likely due to the fact the walls are paper thin. You could here the entire conversation in the room next to you (could here more but I will keep this rated PG). Countertops were torn and in disrepair. The place doesn't look like they've spent a penny on maintenance in 15 years. To top it off there is a surly desk clerk, inefficient and ineffective housekeepers and hundreds of kids running up and down the halls. NEVER AGAIN.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night. It was very clean and the staff did all they could to make us feel comfortable, well informed and even allowed us to use their facilities the day before and after our stay.

Room Tip: If you have young children and will be using the pool - request the third floor as it is close to al...

We loved our huge room, easy walk to beach and boutique shopping, and the exceptionally friendly service. We felt welcome in every way. They provide free-for borrowing chairs, towels and umbrellas! Even after we checked out. It gave us a great feeling of value to get in another day at the beach. Plus, we used the public bath/ shower by the pool to rinse off for the ride home. Great value.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

My family (4 adults) booked a suite in February 2013 for the July 4th holiday because of a wedding in town. When we saw the building and the room, we weren't overly impressed. The facility is old and somewhat tired looking. The mattress in the sleep sofa was flat, torn and stained with questionable looking brown spots. I asked that it be replaced and it was. We then found that the remote for the TV in the living area didn't work. After two trips to the reception desk, we were given instructions on how to re-program it. Our room was next to the laundry on the second floor. Because of the volume of guests, it appeared to us that the washers and dryers worked almost non-stop. That would be fine if we couldn't hear them through the wall but we could. At times, it sounded like a helicopter landing nearby. The bathroom is small but looks to be recently renovated. The ceiling light could use a good cleaning. It's bowl was filled with debris. The rest of the suite was clean but could use some attention. The same goes for the stairwells and inside courtyards. Very large planters on the second level make it difficult to maneuver luggage carts through the space. The hotel only has parking for one car per suite. If you have an additional car, you'll have to park on the street, if you can find a space and either feed the meter a quarter for every ten minutes (between the hours of 10 am and midnight) or set up an online payment. There is also permit parking available in Rehoboth Beach but you have to buy the permit and then find a location in a residential area that will allow you to park.

We decided to do a two night trip to the beach and this hotel was perfectly located. It's a block from the beach and they have chairs and umbrellas you can borrow at no cost. We arrived in town early and were allowed to park at the hotel even though our room wasn't ready. All staff that we interacted with were personable and friendly. We asked about a late check out so we could spend just a little bit more time on the beach and that was approved with no hassle or feeling like we were being unreasonable. The room was nice, especially with the divided living room/ bedroom and door in between. Our neighbors were a little loud during the day but at night we didn't hear anything. Lots of families, so be prepared, but overall we enjoyed our experience. Also had a better room rate booking directly through their website than any of the 'deals' websites like expedia, so be sure to check that out.

I stayed here for 4 days in late May. For a "suites" hotel, the rooms are a bit small, but they are adequate. The location is great - just a couple of blocks to the ocean. There were a few problems - the alarm clock numbers were weird, and the floor mat in the bathroom was not the non-skid type (which could cause someone to slip and become injured).

My sleeping room faced a somewhat busy street, and the sliding door didn't close all the way, so I did hear noise at night when I was trying to sleep.

Still, it is a good choice for a family - with its small refrigerator. Oh - wait - the refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment, although the listing I had seen for the hotel said it would.
