Our first visit, but we tried enough dishes to know this is no "five star" Italian restaurant. Food comparable to the chain Italian restaurants, but prices about 50% higher. Fortunately, they do offer some discounts, like occasional coupons on restaurant.com. A discount is necessary to make the value equation here plausible.
We thought the pasta dishes -- their namesake -- were particularly disappointing. They just lacked the flavor nuances that an exceptional Italian restaurant would have. Even the bread and pizza were just "eh". The veal saltimbocca was their best effort.
For dessert, we split a chocolate molten cake. It was pretty good, but missing the molten part. And at $8, expensive for what it was.
Service was slow. Our waitress inexplicably disappeared for 20 minutes after giving us the desert menus.
Wine list was expensive. $30+.
Overall, we were left wondering why the restaurant was pretty crowded, and how they won a "Best of Delaware" award.
