Hands down...one of the BEST pizzas I have ever had. We got 2 margherita pizzas today for dinner. YUM! The sauce was sweet and plentiful. The cheese tasted homemade. The crust was soft. The pizza is small, so order more than one. You will be glad you did. I wish they offered a larger pizza, but even then...I would still want more. It is THAT good.

Restaurant is tiny with only a few tables. Parking area not much larger. Atmosphere is casual. The Wood Fire oven is a focal piece. Service for takeout was about 40 minutes (as promised). Prices are not cheap, but this is QUALITY pizza...worth every penny. I can't wait to go back.

Only downside is the operating hours. Right now, they are ONLY open Wednesday through Saturday from 4PM to 10PM & Sunday 10AM to 3PM. They are closed Monday & Tuesday. Hope as the business grows, so do the operating hours.

New brick and mortar restaurant in the Newark area. Formerly the WoodFired Pizza Truck located at various venues in the area. Open Wed-Sat 4pm to 10 pm- Sunday Brunch 10 am to 3 pm. Fresh, local, HOMEMADE, artisan, and unique describe the WoodFired Shop and it's pizza. Pizza names like - The Little Red Hen, The Besto Pesto, and The Artie promise culinary treats. Sunday Brunch features jazz background, free coffee and scrambled egg pizza with homeade in house bacon. YUMMMMM!

The Wood Fired Pizza Shop located on Cleveland Ave in Newark, De is not your typical Pizza joint: The owners take pride in their product . The ingredients they use are fresh, local and often unique. Where else can one get a breakfast pizza with scrambled egg and homemade bacon as a topping? The homemade chicken sausage on the Sweet Lil Hen is amazing and a dessert pizza topped with Nutella and fresh strawberries YUMMM! The shop is exceptionally clean and the owners and hostess work hard to keep it that way. Table tops, display cases, windows, counters are all spotless. The wood fired oven imparts a wonderful flavor to the crust and the toppings, and is very picturesque. Sit at the bar and watch your pizza being baked in front of the fire and chat with the owners. The prices are very reasonable for the pies as well as the home made salads, pickles, pastas, and desserts. This place does not disappoint

Like another reviewer stated "finally Woodfire pizza year round. " I too visited the pizza truck at the Newark Farmers Market to enjoy the tasty pizza. The pizzas are great. We had one with poached shrimp and one with sausage, pepperoni & jalapeño, really enjoyed both. Ate the olive / pepperocini mix, which was delightful. As the cashier stated the pizzas were done in about 4-6 minutes. No beer yet, but understand it is in the works. Like their Facebook page and be tempted by pizza, sides & dessert photos. Casual atmosphere for couples and families. Will definitely go back.

Initially, my wife and I didn't know what to expect going here... But it turned out to be a great new place for us. Definitely the best pizza I've had in Delaware, especially for a reasonable price. It's not cheap per say, but very good quality. After our meal, the owner even stopped by our table and chatted some! I would completely recommend WFP and am excited to go back again soon.
