This place is a take-out smoked BBQ/filipino store owned by a nice filipino lady. There aren't much filipino stores to find in DE, and if one pops up, they usually don't stay long; so it's nice to see this one surviving. We buy our nostalgia goods here, especially the snacks!
This place is a bit hidden, it is behind the valero gas station just before the stop light. Though, during weekends, it seems that they're cooking heavily because you can't miss the smoke. trust me. You'll also find that they carry some traditional filipino dishes which are usually placed on the front counter warmers. She says, one popular filipino dish that even non-filipinos get is the beef stew which then i had to try and it's awesome! ..w/ the big chunks of super soft beef.. a lil too pricey if bought by containers though. As for their BBQ I'm not big on theirs. I do enjoy their beef brisket sandwich occasionally, as well as the Kabobs, which is has a hefty amount of meat ~pork is my favorite. She put up a couple of picnic tables outside if you decide to eat there but it's really a take out place, there's really no appealing scenery to enjoy your meal in. I think the owner is practical for getting what she needs just enough to sell her goods and serve nice quality food w/o all the frou frou stuff. I think she just needs a better sign outside & a lighter door, cuz that thing is so freakin' hard to open!
