Nice visit to Dogfish Head Brewery. First, the tasting room and store are great fun, and beers are great, so worth a visit with or without the tour. We did the tour recently. Having been on other microbrewery tours, this was fine, but not particularly interesting or insightful. Our guide was personable, and did share multiple things that make DFH different. Overall though, the tour could have been of any brewery, large or small, without actually seeing much happening. Modern brewery, little different, with too much stress on how they are growing and how cool the bottling line is. If you have toured elsewhere, you can skip this one and not miss much. My husband is a home brewer, and tour staff couldn't answer his specific questions.
The tasting room was great, as of course, is the beer. You can also purchase beer to drink there aside from the tour, or fill a growler to take home. Everyone was pleasant, and happy to work there. There is an onsite food truck to get a bite, and a great store.

Great place to do some tastings. All employees are devoted to knowing good beer. Amateur Brewers beware No open toed shoes. You will be required to wear used clogs.

Truly a place beer lovers and those who don't love beer need to visit. A ton of character and full of characters. Great story and history. An in depth look on how things work inside this small, yet busy brewery. Would have enjoyed a cameo from the legendary Sam; perhaps next time.

Great side trip for a day or partial day's break from the beach and sun. 30 mins from Rehoboth, easy to get to , MAKE RESERVATIONS for the tour. You have to pay in advance and have a ticket. Clean, interesting, fun, ok for kids but no strollers are allowed in the tour AND there are several sets of stairs to climb. Young children will need to be carried. You MUST wear closed toed shoes on the tour, so wear your own or they will give you a pair of Crocks to borrow:) In the plant, the first 10 mins is very warm--no AC can be felt if there is any. After that the temp is pretty comfortable. Cool items for sale in the store, cool metal tree house in front of the building for photo opps. Great beer sampling after the tour-4 samples are included in the tour price. Takes about 1 hour start to finish for the tour.

My husband is an avid Dogfish Head drinker and he scheduled a tour while we were in Rehoboth on vacation. The tour was awesome (plan on an hour for the actual tour and some linger time of maybe 90 minutes at the end for sampling, eating, and shopping) and the sampling at the end was so generous. The tree house will make for some awesome family photos. If you are coming with little ones (we took our daughter who is 14 months), plan on carrying them through the hour tour. Our daughter was mesmerized and ended up falling asleep to the sound of the machines! Win Win for parents! Totally bummed that Sam didn't make an appearance. Awesome and we would go again! Cheers!
