“Great cheap specials”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

First, I'd like to begin this review with a disclaimer. At this moment and for the past month and a half, my old house has no kitchen. This place is 3 blocks from my house, so I've grown to appreciate the extreme convenience and more extreme super cheap specials.
If you like an unpretentious relaxed rustic wood floored warehouse type of atmosphere, this place is for you. It's right on the river, so you can grab a seat by the window and enjoy a view. The booths are well worn and the service is friendly. Do not expect any fancy extras like salt or pepper or ketchup on the tables. If you want fancy, go down a few blocks to Abbott's.
The food is decent, not outstanding. Burgers I'd rate as a solid meh. Their chili is very good. Their clam chowder is watery.
.....But their wings! Dear lord, their wings are delicious! Not too greasy and perfectly seasoned, the winner of their wing sauce selection hands down is their honey garlic. Mondays are 1/2 off wings day, and you can stuff yourself full of 20 of these wonderful poultry wings for a measly 7 bucks! Wash those babies down with any of the decent beers on tap and you've got yourself a not so healthy but extremely satisfying cheapskate epicurean feast.
Even better is the Sunday cheapskate extravaganza that is taco day. For 4 bucks you get 3 surprisingly substantial tacos stuffed with your choice of beef, chicken, pulled pork or fish. They are shockingly good.
So...the theme here is good cheap eats. Having this place nearby during my excruciating kitchen renovation is a godsend. Having it within staggering distance is an even bigger godsend. But I'd recommend to anyone within driving distance who wants a good delicious deal to come out on wing or taco night.

“Excellent spot for lunch”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

At lunch time this is a great spot to stop. The steamed shrimp is great. The Fish and chips are amazing and priced affordable. The service is friendly and fast. The sandwich person will love it here and the Reuben is great. All their food is good.

The daily specials offer you variety and good prices. Enjoy the booth looking at the water and relax in this local tavern environment. It is a relaxing lunch.

“Uneven food quality”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Nice little local tavern with friendly service. The Maryland crab soup tasted great, but was served only mildly warm, not hot. The crab cake sandwich was really pretty poor- lots of filler and mushy. The steamed shrimp were excellent.

“True pub hangout”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Dark, uneven wood floors, just the best local bar/pub place, just did not want another fancy restaurant, wings were good, ribs fell of the bones, relaxing with good service. If no frills relaxing is what you are looking for def. recommend

“A great place to eat”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

If your ever visting Milford Delaware you have to stop in and have a bite to eat. I have to admit the place looks more like a bar than a restaurant but they have the best food. The shrimp are better then most of the local seafood resaurants in Delaware and the soups are delicious. Everything is homemade and fresh. My family eats there a couple of times a week and the kids love the wings. Get in before 8pm and beat the bar crowd.
