“Very nice hotel!”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Stayed here as a nice alternative to the higher priced beach hotels... Only took about 30 minutes to get to downtown rehoboth beach. Still a little pricey for the area (there isn't much around), but overall a beautiful hotel and very clean. The access road is a little tricky - just go past the hotel for a tiny bit, and then make your first left and it will take you to an access road that looks like goes no where, but surprise... you're there. Call the hotel if you think you may have trouble.

Room Tip: I asked for a room away from the elevator... I was put in a room farthest away from the elevator, bu...

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Milford DE at least four or five times, every time they met and exceeded my expectation. What a GREAT place, new, CLEAN and very friendly staff. My kids they ask for it by name to make sure we're staying there. Very good breakfast and nice indoor pool.

I have had the pleasure of being at the Hampton Inn in Milford Delaware this past week and for the next. It is a delightfully new, clean, well appointed hotel just off State Route 1 (DuPont Highway). It is a challenge to find the access road but not so much if you are used to the highways and by-ways of Delaware. You need to take a little road called New Wharf Road then a bit of a farm road (quite beautiful) to get to the hotel. Again, nice stay here. The beds are quite firm which I like, my colleague wasn't as thrilled with that. Good standard complimentary breakfast. All fresh with hot and cold choices. Beautiful dining area that doubles nicely for small get togethers or brief meetings. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I held a training for my company here and the meeting room was small but good and again, staff very helpful in assisting our trainees. Breakfast can be addded to teh meeting room for a mere $8 per person. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Just a short drive from the beaches (Rehoboth) as well. I saw many families come and go and staff was very good with them as well. A nice little find in the middle of nowhere (so to speak).

We -- two adults, two teens -- stayed here for a night in conjunction with the annual spawning of the horseshoe crabs. The hotel is new, and our room was large, quiet, and comfortable. We all slept surprisingly well, which to me is the most important factor in a hotel stay. Breakfast was a cut above the standard packaged muffins fare, with bacon, eggs, and decent fruit. The location is a bit obscure, but it was ideal for our purposes (much closer to the spawning beaches than either Rehoboth or Dover). If you're in the area, be sure to visit Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge a few miles to the south.

I've stayed at several Hampton Inn's. They aren't fancy, but you always know what you're getting: a nice, comfortable room with good customer service. My wife and I ended up at this Hampton Inn after fleeing a bad experience at a different hotel that was much closer to the beach. It's in a somewhat strange, somewhat hard to find location just off the highway, next to some newly constructed "McMansions." It isn't easy to spot from the highway, either. Sure, this place is a 20 min+ drive from Rehoboth Beach, but as long as you just do the drive twice per day (drive down from the hotel in the morning and then back in the evening), it really isn't too bad. The staff was courteous and the room clean and comfortable (we didn't have any problems to complain to them about, or special requests for them, which is generally the way I like my hotel stays to go). In the end I was pretty satisfied with the value for what we paid.

If you end up staying here, Abbott's Grill is only a short drive away, and is a nice place to have brunch before heading down to the beach.

We recently stayed at the Mildord Hampton Inn during the NASCAR race weekend. This hotel is about 25 minutes from Dover and is located in a very remote location.

The hotel is not the easiest place to find as if you simply put the mailing address into your gps, it won't get you to the location. You have to turn down a remote street and travel down a dark road about a half mile to eventually run into the hotel. The best way to describe how to find the street for the hotel is to look for the gas station and the Grotto Pizza and make a left of coming from the north and make a right if coming from the south.

Lobby: the lobby is extremely clean and offers plenty of seating. Complimentary papers and a television are located in the lobby area. This is also the area where the free complimentary breakfast is served.

Front Desk Staff:
Check in was very quick. Any questions that we had about our room or the area was quickly answered by the front desk staff with a smile. Great people.

Rooms:
The rooms were very clean and modern. The rooms all had flat screen televisions, desks, alarm clock, and a large fridge and microwave which was a big plus. The beds were comfortable and clean and had lots of different kinds of pillows. The bathroom was also very clean with no mold or mildew visible. Toiletries and a hair dryer were also included in the room.

Parking: Parking was Free.

Pool:
The Hampton inn did have a small indoor pool available onside. We did not visit it but it looks nice.

There is no restaurant onside. There is no bar also available onsite. There is also no sundry shop onsite. There is small vending available on each floor. Located down the street is a large convenience store and a grotto pizza for food and other supplies.

All in all, when visiting Dover again, for a race weekend, I would definitely stay here again. Good clean hotel.

We traveled with our sons travel baseball team to a tournament. We travel about 5 times a year with these boys. Some hotels are less than excited to have our large and sometimes noisy group. Well, not this staff. They were helpful, efficient, and kind. They were polite to all guest large or small. The hotel is very clean and only two years old. There is a nice lobby/hanging out area. I would recommend this hotel to all!
