“Nice Bar and setting, but the food is AWFULL!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

2nd Year of this business and still in final remodeling construction. Last year was great new modest size place pretty good food, service and atmosphere. This year went back 3 times so far and the remodeling is nice but it's more of a Bar now with snacks. They reduced the already limited menu only a few selection in all each category. Sorry to say but The wings are skimpy for $10.00 and the chicken tenders were a joke, frozen premade and dry patties that McDonald's wouldn't even serve. No bargains in the drink side of it either. I think the Crushes that they use to serve have been down sized by a couple of ounces. I wish them luck this year.

“Nice place to just hang during the summer...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

We stopped in to see the newly renovated Paradise Grill. It was nice. Outside bar was great. Had shade. Drinks were ok. A bit pricey. Had nachos with beef. Huge plate, but all was cold. Bartenders outside were really attentive even on a busy day. Listened to music for about an hour or so. Parking was not good. Hard to find a spot.

“Hopefully, Growing Pains”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2014

Had lunch there on their opening day. Place has really been enlarged and upgraded and has a nice island vibe. Due to the delayed opening, they had no time for staff training - which was evident. Food was decent, atmosphere was great and management was attentive. They were aware of opening day shortcomings and apologized. We went back on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend and encountered a two hour wait so we left. We planned to return today but after reading the most recent negative reviews we have decided to give them more time to get their act together before returning. They don't always answer their phone, which is an annoyance. I strongly suggest that they put a message on their phone giving their hours of operation and attempt to answer calls. They also need to initiate a website (not simply Facebook). The website should provide their address and telephone number, directions, a copy of the menu and a calendar of the entertainment schedule - the same type of website that 90% of the other restaurants utilize. A Facebook page is not the same as having a Website. The owners are great people and I know they have a lot on their plate with the delayed opening due to construction delays and ongoing construction - I feel confident they will get this situation under control.

“Very loud & over-rated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014

This place lets everyone drink and I have never seen anyone carded. For all how drink, they leave the place loaded. Food is average, and atmosphere is very loud. Do not recommend!

“Too Big, Too Soon. Food is meh, service meh, overall… meh.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

Okay, so my family has owned a place in Pot Nets Bayside for over 5 years now. The Paradise Bar and Grill used to be a nice, little place to get cheap crap food, and cheap drinks. You knew the bartenders and they knew you. That was up until this year.

They place now is like a mega-restaurant. They built a large outdoor seating area, and several more bars around the area. They hired what appeared to be well over 100 staff to run the place. It was very clear that they didn't bother to build a bigger/more accommodating kitchen to keep up with the demand.

When we arrived there was a huge tacky blow up bottle of beer out front. Classless. We arrived and were told there was over an hour wait. we went to one of the bars out in the sand to get drinks and they raised the prices for a watered down cocktail. We lasted about 20 minutes before we all had to leave. There were some kind of fleas by the millions flying all around the outdoor areas biting anyone anywhere. We just had to go. Wasn't worth it.

The next day we went back and found an open seat at the bar inside. Only saw a few fleas coming in and biting a few people here and there, but not bad like outside. The bartender was rushed and took no time to introduce himself, or ask about us or anything. Just "what do you want?" We asked for menus and his response: "We're not serving food at the bars right now because there is a 2 hour wait for food in the restaurant." Are you kidding me with that? I'm sorry you got too big too fast and can't handle food orders.

Just go to the sea shanty down the road. Sure they have a few fleas, but got a seat, really nice waitress, decently priced food with good deals and no 2 hour wait for your food.

I have no plans to return to this place unless they fix the several issues that I have talked about.

Shame.
