Kindle is the talk of the town in Lewes, De. There was an hour and a half wait at 6:00 on a Saturday night in October. They do not accept reservations for parties under 6 people. However, they will do call ahead seating. There is outside seating in the summertime. The restaurant is very small and the tables did not turn over quickly. The wait staff is polite but didn't go over and above with suggestions or comments about menu choices. I ordered the butternut and acorn squash soup and it was very good. I also ordered the Spiced Roasted Chicken with gruyere mac and cheese. the food was hot and delicious, and the portion size was adequate. However- the noise level was absolutely unbearable. please understand, I am a 40 something woman that enjoys concerts and sporting events so when I say that the noise level was absolutely over the top, I mean it. For some reason the table directly behind us had several guest that were screaming randomly- it was very irritating. When they left, the next group that was seated there were the same way. I was wondering if that was the norm for this establishment. So, while the food was very enjoyable the noise level will keep me from coming back.
