“Good Spot”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

After brousing the craft fair at the Historical Society in Lewes, we crossed the drawbridge for lunch at the Whart. We had a great seat at the deck's edge and watched the parade of boats and people coming under the bridge. The entertainment of the day was an adorable yellow lab who dove in the water time and again to fetch a large stick and run back up the ramp. The dog, the crew and passengers finally sailed away on a day excursion/fishing boat. Then we could turn our attention to what a great lunch we had been served. The food was all excellent with really generous portions, friendly, attentive service by a super friendly young waitress.

“Ok lunch”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

Our lunches were a Fishcake sandwich and Mediterranean Salmon Salad. I had coleslaw with the sandwich and the Mediterranean salad came with a few small pieces of salmon. The salad greens were fresh and the salmon was good; the vinaigrette on the side was ok. The Cod fish cake was served with a nice red onion jam. The sandwich filling was good, but the roll was a little dry. It was probably sliced earlier in the day as part of prep. If the sandwich filling had been more moist, the condition of the bread would not have been as problematic. The coleslaw was exceptionally wet and extremely sweet. Service was competent but the servers scowled wherever they moved through the restaurant. The servers were pleasant to customers, but looked extraordinarily unhappy to be at this Restaurant..

“Fresh fish”
Reviewed July 8, 2014 via mobile

I ate here with my husband and 12 year old son. We were looking for somewhere different to go. We have driven by this restaurant for years on our way to the beach and have never stopped (my in- laws live in Milford and prefer to eat in town, rather than at the shore points). Boy, have we been missing out! My son had the fish and chips, which he loved. The batter on the fish was light and fish flakey. My husband enjoyed the Tuna fish-board with The pan Asian sauce. He ordered the Tuna rare and seared on the outside and received it as ordered. He was disappointed that the chimchurri butter was actual butter and not a melted butter sauce. However, it went perfectly with the grilled asparagus. I ordered the blackened salmon fish-board. I received the Boston Bass blackened. I tried a bite and although it tasted great, I was hungry for the salmon. Our waitress rectified it immediately. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I had the pan asian sauce and watermelon salsa with my fish and asparagus. Looking forward to our next visit. No matter which fish you order, be sure, it will be fresh and delicious.

“Great Food, Over-involved owner”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

You can't beat the food or the portions, as this is real Philly food, not tourist trap blah! Price is as expected in a tourist area. The only thing they might change is to realize that bartending is an art form, not a speed race. The bartenders are owner/relatives, understandably so they can keep the tips, but they don't have the relaxed attitude that is best served for bartenders. Instead you get over-stressed bartenders/owners who are in too much of a hurry to properly chill a drink or pour a beer and are verbalizing their complaints about customers to each other while hurrying drinks. Give up the tips and concentrate on keeping customers coming back.
