A ride on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is often the start of our vacations. We get up early, make the first Ferry and enjoy our breakfast on the Bay. Even though it cost us a little more, especially to take the camper, it saves us driving time, we get an earlier start and breakfast too! The staff is friendly, the boats are clean and comfortable, the fresh air is marvelous and the departure times flexible. We love it!

My sister and I have travelled from Delaware to Atlantic city twice a year for the last 3. The ferry is an approximate hour drive from her house and I can't express how nice it is to not have to drive up and around. I know gas would be slightly cheaper to drive but this cost is well worth it! The terminals are both so nice, clean with friendly staff, the ferries themselves are a treat. Getting on and off couldn't be any easier. Thank you for everything each of the staff do to make our bi-annual trip that much better.

Great for day trips either to Cape May or to Lewes. Ferry is clean and comfortable. They have specials with tours of Cape May or shopping at Rehoboth outlet Malls (no sales tax).

We used the ferry for our return trip from Cape May to DC. We didn’t want to chance the 95 corridor on Columbus Day. The ferry turned out to be a good but expensive choice for returning. We did not make online reservations- but we did make sure to check for availability before driving over. We arrived at 12:35 for the 1:00 Ferry and had plenty of time. The Ferry departed 15 minutes late. We were surprised by the toll booth- I don’t know what we were expecting but we were surprised to have to pay as soon as we entered the parking lot. The attended directed us to our lane. Getting on and off the ferry was much quicker and easier than I expected. Food and drink were available and there is a big bathroom on the boat. I get sea sick just looking at a bath tub and I was fine. So don’t worry about sea sick. There were moments of rocking, but it was right after that crazy Oct storm so maybe that was some of the extra choppiness. I only wish that there was no smoking on the boat- it’s only an hour and 15 minute ride and there’s no getting away from the smoke if someone decided to smoke nest to you. That’s why it’s not 5 stars- but for what it is it’s a good choice. But like I said expensive we paid 47 dollars for a one way trip- just 2 of us in our mini van.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with us. We love reading about our guest experience. I do apoligize about the smoking issue. We do have designated smoking areas signs posted on the vessel but not all passengers comply.

We hope to see you onboard with us again soon!

We enjoyed the Ferry between Lewes and Cape May. The ferry was easy to reserve (online or in person), terminal was clean and scenic, loading/unloading was timely and well organized and the ferry trip was smooth, relaxing and scenic. In addition the ferry reduced our travel time. A great value1
