“Great State Park”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

One of Delaware's jewels -- this park has it all (beach, fishing, biking, walking trails, camping). It's close to Lewes and has lots to offer.

“Just Beautiful”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Love this place, walk bike, lay by the ocean, camp. So much to see. I love to photograph Cape Henlopen it is incredibly scenic. They have a nice nature center and many family friendly activities. Check the Delaware State Parks website. No fee if you bike or walk in, cars pay an entrance fee.

“AMAZING PLACE”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

My family and I have visited Cape Henlopen numerous times. It is a great place to go hiking in the 'walking dunes'. We signed up for a class in the off-season and got to actually go inside one of the bunkers where soldiers were stationed to protect the Bay and the mouth of the river. There is also a beautiful beach on the ocean side with a wooden boardwalk to get out to it. Nice concession stand and well taken care of shower houses. You can camp there but be aware that they do NOT spray bugs and in the summer season, mosquitoes are horrendous.

“A wide open place to breathe in the salt air”

Fantastic area for miles of beaches and dunes that are best in the off season, when the birds outnumber the people.

“just visit once and get hooked”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

This is our family beach, it is beautifully kept. There is always something going on here. Winter, spring summer & fall. Take a day to visit and walk the nature trails or bike them! You will not be disappointed!
