“Well kept.”

Large variety of activities. 4 wheel drive on the beach is great. Fished off the pier. Walked the trails. Biked a trail. Climbed the Ft. Miles tower. Took guests on the Fort Miles tour.

“Best Delaware Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Great state park. Lots to do- trails are great for biking and jogging or exploring the WWII towers. My family enjoys the wildlife. There are lots of deer and interesting birds. I've visited the hawk watch a few times but have yet to see any hawks. Guarded beach is lovely but gets a bit crowded during the summer season. This year the beach became a non-smoking beach which is a plus because my daughter has severe asthma. I complained about some smokers to a lifeguard and she was very friendly and professionally dealt with the situation. I am impressed with the lifeguards overall- they are always alert and once one of them swam with my kids to help them out of a strong current. I feel most comfortable letting my kids swim here than at any of the other beaches. The snack bar doesn't offer many healthy options so I would recommend packing your own food. Just remember, you have to carry out your own trash. The park offers several youth summer camps and the kids love it. Great state park.

“WRAPS AROUND THE POINT FROM REHOBOTH BEACH TO LEWES BEACH!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012

The pretty famous world war II towers are located here on both sides of this point. 1 is open to the public to climb the stairs up to the top, where the camping area is from the Lewes side and 2 are on the beach often in the water, on the Ocean side. Probably the most photographed beach objects here. The Lewes tower is pretty cool with views over to Cape May and to lewes Beach but if you hadn't been here prior to last yr it is a shame because they added fencing at the top above the tower edge so it really messes up the view that you had prior, especially for photos. BUT the park from Lewes entrance is huge and you can roller blade or hike, (they have the Kite festival there in the spring) there are old barracks where they have events and some bunkers as well as the Buden Center. You can park at the end and walk to surfing or drive on the beach from here. There is an awesome public beach and all kinds of camping available!!
